Donghae stepped into the house, looking around furtively. There was no sign of Eunhyuk, so he let himself relax. Jumping onto the couch, he turned on the tv, hoping for a good distraction. But he couldn't help it, all his mind went back to was Eunhyuk. He rested his head on the back of the couch, looking up at the ceiling. "I like a boy... Isn't that wrong? What would appa and eomma think?" He said softly to himself.Sighing, he decided maybe a good hot shower would help him. He bounded up the steps and entered his room, grabbing a new set of clothes and a towel before going to the toilet. He blasted hot water all over his body, waiting for some kind of comfort to come. He waited and waited, but he didn't feel any better. Giving up, he dried himself and put on his clothes.He opened the toilet door, bumping into an equally frustrated Eunhyuk. "Oh, I-I'm sorry." Eunhyuk blushed red, shook his head, then shut himself in the toilet. Donghae turned to face the closed door. At that moment, he realised it. The only comfort he could get, and the only person that could give it to him, was behind that door. Sighing, he turned, then walked back to his room.He flopped onto his bed, using his pillow to cover his face. "So what am I supposed to do? Confess to him? What if he doesn't like me back? Then our friendship will be ruined..." He stayed there, trying to think of what he should do next. So many thoughts came through his mind, and by the time his mother called him down for dinner, he knew what he would do. "I'm coming down Mum, must you keep calling me?"He got off his bed and went down the stairs, ready to face Eunhyuk.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~He sat down beside Eunhyuk, as usual. Eunhyuk seemed to squirm in his seat, as if Donghae beside him was the most uncomfortable thing on Earth. Donghae just smiled at him, following his plan. He had decided, he would act as if everything hadn't happened. He would do the things he usually did with Eunhyuk, say the things he usually said. He had to maintain their friendship first.Donghae had decided to drop hints here and there about his feelings, and see what Eunhyuk's reaction would be. If Eunhyuk seemed to like him too, then he could confess to him, if not, Donghae wouldn't say anything. No one gets hurt, and their friendship wouldn't get ruined. It was a win-win situation, right? Eunhyuk smiled back awkwardly, then turned his attention back to the plate in front of him.Donghae sighed. After dinner, he stood up, pulling Eunhyuk along with him. "We're going for a walk in the park, Mum, be back soon!" Mrs Lee just nodded, and SIwon pouted. 'What about me?" Donghae smiled apologetically, "Tomorrow, hyung." Siwon waved his hand to dismiss it, then went back to his room. When they walked out the door, Eunhyuk wriggled his hand out of Donghae's grasp."I don't feel very good today, can't we just stay at home?" Donghae felt hurt, but he tried his best to hide it. "Please Hyuk? I really want to take a walk with you. It'll be a short one, I promise!" Eunhyuk didn't have the heart to reject him, so he nodded slowly, then bent down to put on his shoes. Donghae grinned. When Eunhyuk was finished, he grabbed his hand, intertwining their fingers.Eunhyuk tried to escape his hold but Donghae didn't let him. "Don't we always hold hands? Why, you don't like me anymore?" Eunhyuk knew Donghae meant it as a friend, but he couldn't help but think about it in another way, especially he couldn't get the image of their faces so close to each other out of his head.  "N-no. It's okay." Donghae smiled, and they set off, walking in the dark. They reached the park, and started off on their usual route.Eunhyuk forced himself to relax. Come on Lee Hyukjae! This is Hae, he's just your best friend. What are you being so nervous for? Relax! He chanted that in his head over and over, and it did help him slightly. They continued walking, and Eunhyuk decided he should try to talk to him. "So Hae, about what happened earlier..." Donghae turned to face him."I'm sorry. But let's not be awkward about it, ne?" Donghae grinned, then nodded his head. "Of course, it's fine." Eunhyuk heaved a sigh of relief, and felt all the awkwardness dissipate. Eunhyuk felt a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, glad that their friendship would be okay. That they would be okay. And that was all that mattered to him. He thought back to the note that he had left for Donghae, realising there was no need for it now. Oh well.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~By the time they were back in the house, they were acting like their usual selfs, playing and teasing each other. "My dongsaeeeeeeeeeng! How could you abandon me for so long?" Siwon came running up to them, pulling Eunhyuk in for a hug. Eunhyuk grinned, but his face slowly changed. "H-hyung. Can't b-breathe!" Siwon quickly let go, "Sorry. Donghae! It's my turn to play with my brother, okay? Shoo."Donghae just laughed, then went up to his room. He was glad there was no awkwardness between him and Eunhyuk anymore. He still worried, though. He didn't know how to confess to him. How could he drop hints? Since he only just realised his feelings, he guessed he still has some time to think about what he could do. He sat down at his table, staring into blank space.Just then, he noticed a small note stuck onto his long forgotten homework. "Hae! About just now... I know we were both shocked. But we are okay right? You've been out running for a long time. I hope you don't hate me or anything. Either ways, let's forget it, ne?" Donghae read the note over and over. 5 minutes later, he could already recite the note by heart. He sighed."Hyuk ah... What if I don't want to forget it? What if I love you? Sorry it took so long for this chapter to come out, and it's short too :< First I lost my chapters, but when I finally got them back I had examinations to focus on so...
