"What happened? Did you turn it off?" Eunhyuk bit his lower lip in worry, he didn't really like being in the dark. "I'm standing right beside you, how could I have turned it off? Come with me." Donghae took hold of his hand, and they went to the door. He flicked the switch several times, but the lights didn't come back on. "Maybe the power is out?" Just then, Eunhyuk realised what had happened. "Hae, what time is it now?"Donghae fished his phone out and checked, "It's 7:15pm. Why?" Eunhyuk sighed, shaking his head. "The power isn't out, it's off. The school clerk starts locking up the school at 7pm, then he turns off the master switch for all the lights. We're locked in, Hae." Donghae groaned, he didn't want to spend the night here. "Can't we just call the clerk and ask him to let us out?"Eunhyuk shook his head. "He's a really grumpy person. And when I say really grumpy, I mean it. He'll probably give us ten weeks of detention for giving him so much trouble. We're better off waiting for him to come tomorrow morning." Donghae gave up all hopes of going back home, and decided they might as well make the best of their situation.He took out his phone again, calling Siwon. "Hyung, we're locked in school. Well the clerk didn't know we were still here, and we didn't keep track of time. We'll be back tomorrow, tell my mum and dad not to worry. Okay, I will. Alright, goodnight hyung." He put his phone away, then turned to Eunhyuk. "Wanna have some fun, since we're already stuck here?"Eunhyuk didn't like where this was going, especially since Donghae had the mischievous look on his face. Taking hold of his hand again, Donghae dragged him out of the class. "Come on, we gotta eat dinner don't we?" They made their way to the canteen, using their phones as their source of light. They went into the back room in the canteen where the cafeteria staff keep all the food.Eunhyuk had to admit, this was kind of exciting, plus they wouldn't get caught. Donghae opened the fridge, then grabbed a few tupperwares that were filled with food meant for the students on monday. "Guess there'll be less food for lunch next week, huh?" Eunhyuk laughed, and Donghae popped the food into the microwave to heat them up.Eunhyuk leaned on the counter, looking at Donghae. "This morning, what did you mean when you said you liked me?" Donghae faced him, not saying a word. The light from their phones were both focused on the microwave, so he couldn't really see his expression. But Donghae guessed it wasn't a joking one, this was a serious question.Donghae wasn't ready to confess to him yet, not now. He didn't answer, and just continued looking at him. Eunhyuk grew impatient, "You can't keep avoiding my question. Quick, tell me." Donghae knew he couldn't say anything just yet, it'd be too risky. "You'll find out eventually, Hyuk. Just not now, okay?" Eunhyuk sighed, knowing there was no use in pressing any further.A loud "DING!" came from the microwave, indicating their food was ready. "Come on, let's eat."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~They cleared up the room as best as they could, hoping the staff wouldn't suspect anything. "Now what do we do?" Donghae thought for a while, then said, "We should find a place to sleep." They walked along the hallway, stopping only when they found things they would need, like blankets from the knitting room, and torch lights from the janitors room.Eventually, they decided to sleep in the gym, since there was no basketball practice tomorrow, and the clerk would never step one foot into it. "We won't get caught here. Or at least, there's a smaller chance we will." Donghae nodded, smiling at him. "You know quite a bit about the school, huh?" Eunhyuk grinned, shrugging his shoulders.It was another thing that Donghae liked about him. He was always so observant, he knew so many things Donghae never even thought about. "Well then, let's set up our camp!" Eunhyuk laughed at that, but he was excited all the same. It was a new experience for him. They lined the floor with the blankets they had found, rolling them up a bit at the top to act like pillows.Placing the torch lights on the floor, they shined it at each other, deciding to talk later, since they weren't tired yet. They laid down side-by-side, facing the ceiling. They stayed in silence for a while, before Eunhyuk started to talk. "Later, if I suddenly shout, don't got shocked. Okay?" Donghae laughed, "Okay, but why would you shout?""My brother and his basketball team once practiced here overnight. They were in a similar situation as us, so the lights were off. They kept hearing weird noises and they got really scared. Imagine if they were already afraid, what about me?" Donghae just smiled, trying to hold back his laughter, but failing eventually. Eunhyuk puffed out his cheeks, offended."You don't believe me?" Donghae shook his head, "It's just a bit too... make believe for me. But if you do get scared, I'll protect you. Okay?" Eunhyuk felt his heart flutter, a few words from Donghae could have a big effect on him. "Okay." They continued talking into the night, until finally they were too tired. Eunhyuk wriggled closer to Donghae, still slightly afraid though they didn't hear anything yet.Donghae saw this and chuckled, then pulled Eunhyuk closer to him. "No need to be afraid, go to sleep. Good night, Hyuk." Eunhyuk smiled his gummy smile, then closed his already heavy eye-lids, falling asleep in seconds. It didn't take very long for Donghae to fall asleep either, and soon, they were both deep in slumber.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Eunhyuk's eyes shot wide open, his hand quickly covering his mouth to prevent himself from shouting. What was that sound? He glanced around the gym, trying to look for the source of the sound. But he couldn't move, for fear of waking Donghae. He decided to dismiss it and closed his eyes, trying to fall back asleep. Suddenly, he heard it again.He couldn't control himself in time, and he shouted, the sound echoing in the gym. He gasped, turning to see if he had woken Donghae up. Thankfully, he still seemed to be asleep. Afraid, he snuggled up closer to Donghae, knowing he would feel safer. Eunhyuk looked at Donghae, and he started to smile. He looked so handsome, so kind, and this was when he was only asleep.He frowned suddenly, feeling a bit like a creep. But then he remembered the many times Donghae had watched him while he was sleeping. Why, he even kissed me on the forehead once, didn't he? At that thought, he suddenly found himself looking at Donghae's lips. Even though he was lying perfectly still, his breathing got more restrained.Why am I so scared? It's just a kiss, right? He kissed me before too, this is like pay back. Happy with his reasoning, he inched forward and kissed Donghae on the forehead. He moved backwards and hesistated for a bit, but then kissed him for a second time. "The second kiss was just in advance, because I know you'll kiss me goodnight soon enough anyway." He whispered softly, as if he needed to justify his actions.Then, he setlled back down and closed his eyes, falling back asleep quickly. Donghae waited for the sound of Eunhyuk's breathing to be regular, before opening his eyes. He tilted his head downwards slowly, and upon confirming Eunhyuk was fast asleep, let out a smile. "Did you really think your shout didn't wake me up? It's just that I have enough self control not to react, stupid." He whispered softly.He brushed a strand of hair away from Eunhyuk's face, and moving closer, pressed his lips to his forehead. "You were right, I would kiss you goodnight soon enough. Good night, Hyuk." Lying back down, he wrapped his arm tighter around Eunhyuk, before falling into a deep sleep.
