Chapter 13 (1/1)

Unconditional Love 9MinSul9 97110K 2023-12-10

Minho was driving his car in taking his Mom back to the Choi’s residence. He frequently took a lovely glance at her along with his blissful smile. What does he want more beyond than right now that she at the end accepted Jinri into his life? But beside that he also felt guilty all along from what he made her gone through the hard time. “Umma! How is your health recently?” Minho asked in concerned tone. “I’m sorry that I couldn’t pay you the visit from time to time. As a son, I should keep my personal feeling aside and behaved like one. But I failed and ended up gaining you a headache instead.” “Umma never blame you, dear. And all everything I did just only for your own good, it’s more than enough for me that you can see and understand it.” Mrs. Choi said and received a gentle smile from Minho. She sighed and staring at her son where his attention was on the road. “Minho ….. Can I ask for one thing from you?” Minho decreased the acceleration and looked at his Mom. “Ask for?? What is it?” “Can you … Can you cancel your wedding?” “Umma!!!” Minho immediately stopped his car at the side road. “I know what I ask for maybe too much for you to agree, but can you do it for me. It’s just for the meantime, Minho." Mrs. Choi said. “Meantime??” Minho asked in disbelieve and faked laughter. “What made you change your mind all of sudden like this? Just now …. Just now at my place you …… I’m confused right now. You made me really thought that you ultimately accept Jinri, accept us. But in the end … you haven’t changed, Umma.” “I accept her, Minho. I approve your relationship.” Mrs. Choi said. “After I had a chance to meet up closed and spent some little time with her today, I recognized that I may really judge her partially and couldn’t avoid having a negative thought on her. You were right, I shouldn’t unreasonably presume everything that fast without consideration. But anyway I’m still not 100% positive yet because not only for a half of the day I can see through her all inside and out. But I know time can answer everything.” “What are you trying to say, Umma? You said you accepted us but why you cannot give us your blessing? What is the time that you’re talking about? Or this is just an excuse you seek for lessening my blame attaching to your deed that want to separate us?” Minho a bit raised his voice. He couldn’t control his anger always, when it comes to Sulli, especially not when he wants to be serious with her now. “I can’t do that, Umma. Marriage is a symbol of my responsibility over Jinri. I must give her a legal name as my wife. She right now is pregnant, Umma. The child is mine and I’m the father.” Mrs. Choi shut her eyes and released her breath before she could talk. “I know but you had no idea that you almost lost your child, Minho.” It instantly struck him in mentality. His eyes opened wide as his heart started to beat so fast. “W-What do you mean?” “I don’t want to tell you about this but I think I should do it now.” She said and took a hold on Minho’s hand. “Minho, your Dad …. He gave an order to force Jinri abort your child.” “What???” Minho uttered like a whisper as he almost couldn’t believe his ears. His jaw clenched as his face turned red just in a second showing his sudden strong anger boiling inside. “But thank God that she could escape. I heard that there was a young man who supposedly your Dad’s business partner came to rescue her.” Mrs. Choi continued. “But however I guess after what had happened, he already left her with a slight of mental trauma. I could tell by seeing how much she was scare when she first saw me at your apartment earlier.” Minho shut his eyes and hit hard on the steering wheel. His memory instantaneously flashed back to the situation yesterday where Jonghyun drove Sulli home. He chuckled idiotically in a sharp guilt took size inside his chest. “When? …. It happened yesterday, right?” He looked intensely at his Mom before he yelled. “Is it right, Umma? Was that fucking shit order of that old man happened yesterday?” “Calm down, Minho.” “I almost screw up, Umma. Because of yesterday I … I ...” Minho stopped himself from continuing. “Pabo … Silly … Stupid, why didn’t she tell me? Why … Why she always like this, enduring everything by herself?” Minho said as he tried to breathe normally. “He is also a father for goddam sake, how could he do this to us?? Inhuman being!!!” “I guess her and I are having the same reason, that’s why we don’t want to tell you. Because we perfectly know that you’ll be so mad like this and later might do something that we can’t imagine, and moreover your relationship with your Dad is sure getting worse.” “I don’t give a damnshit over that sickening relationship. Tell me Umma, how are you supposed me to stay still after knowing about his sinful deed? Our innocent child was almost killed by him, Umma. I don’t care if I get hurt but Jinri, she had enough. She suffers enough.” Minho voiced out loud. “Minho listens! If you confront him, you’ll never win against your Dad, it’s like you lit the fire more even burn brightly.” Mrs. Choi reasoned out to lessen Minho’s agitation. “And this is what I’m afraid of and it’s also the reason why I don’t want your wedding occurs. Can you imagine what will he gonna do if he learn about that?” “But Jinri …. We …. I …” Minho lost of word as in defeat when his mind torturing him about the image that might be happened on Sulli and their unborn baby. They once almost in danger and he ended up had no idea about it until today. He wanted to punch himself so badly …. Why he always is the main cause of making Sulli suffered and miserable? “Put their safety in the first place, Minho. Your Dad is so scary one. We cannot predict or even prevent him to do what he has in mind.” She sighed at her son that laying his head hopelessly on the steering wheel. “Umma always be here beside you, dear. I promise, I won’t going anywhere and side on you no matter what. But for now let’s just obey Umma, stop the wedding fast before everything are out of hand and you two end up suffering later. Just bear with it for a short period of times and I’m sure it won’t take long for the 3 of you unite into a perfect family in the future. Remember! Time will never be late for you and Jinri.”  Sulli and Minho were sitting on the dining table facing each other. The two were having their dinner. Silent were wrapping on the atmosphere around them, no one dare to talk nor looked at each other. Though they were eating but so barely touching the foods since their minds were running in a deep thought. “Is your Mom gone home safely?” Sulli finally urged to break the silence and awkwardness between them. “Oh.” Minho answered and trying to flash his smile. “I drove her there after all.” “Ah right.” Sulli said. “You drove her.” “Jinri, I don’t see you touching the foods. Why? It’s not fit your taste? What do you want to eat? Tell me, I’ll make it for you.” Minho said in concern tone. “Aniyo. When you were out earlier I just ate the dessert you bought so I’m not that hungry yet.” Sulli found an excuse. “The foods your Mom brought are all delicious. I enjoy it.” “Emm.” Minho nodded his head and tried to smile. “I’m full now. If you’re ready just leaves everything here, I’ll do the wash later.” Without waiting Sulli’s answer, Minho already stood up and made his way to his room. Sulli slowly put down her spoon and looked at Minho’s closed door. She then faced palm and let out her deep sigh. She quickly looked up at the ceiling when she felt her eyes were moist in a flash but it was too late, two drops of tears rolled down from the corner of her eyes to the cheeks without she could control it. One after another and another after another until she couldn’t stop and let out a silent sob while hugging her both knees to hid her crying face. +    +    +    + Sulli trying her best to close her eyes and sleep but whenever she does, Mrs. Choi’s word kept echoing inside her mind nonstop. “I want you to stop the wedding. I demand you and Minho cancel your wedding. I know it’s too hard for you but it’s all because for your own good. Jinri, I’m sorry to pressure you drop down the wedding knowing what condition you are in now. But if you still insist to make it happen, I’m afraid you may be harm by Minho’s Dad once again.” “Btw to be frank, a piece of my wish also doesn’t want it happen. As a mother, I’m sure want my own son stay out from all the mess that might arise, I’m afraid that he might get hurt.” Mrs. Choi reached out for Sulli’s hand. “I’m sorry about my over-desire, it’d be hurt you for sure but I can’t help to be selfish. Let’s just consider the time being for me to know you more a little longer. I want to make sure that the girl Minho has chosen is a perfect one for him.” “Thinking about it and make the right decision after and I hope you can understand it and follow what I wish for.”  Sulli shut her eyes tightly while squeezing her chest but only got startled when she felt a hand was snaked around her waist. She gasped in shock. “Sshhh! It’s me, Jinri.” Minho whispered her along with a light chuckle. He laid himself behind Sulli and hugged her tight like she was going to run away from him anytime. “Why are you still awake? It’s not good for Mommy and little angel stay up late.” “I know but I’m not sleepy yet.” Sulli replied. “And you … Why are you here?” “I miss you and our baby.” He said. His hand was caressing her clothed belly sending her warm sensitive feeling running through her body. Sulli held Minho’s hand and smiled bitterly. “Liar! As if we’re far away, instead in the same roof. And we just exchanged a good night word a few hours ago though.” “I know but I still miss you. Can I sleep here with you two tonight?” Minho asked and less than a half minute he earned a nod from Sulli. His lips stretched out a smile and kissed her head, inhaled her fragrant scent peacefully.  “Jinri.” He called her softly. His right hand found Sulli’s left fingers and interlaced them with his. “Hmm.” “Are you tired? …. Ever since you know me and end up messing your pure life being with me …. Are you tired of feeling so depressed and downhearted?” Sulli jerked her head. In a slow motion she turned her body around. Right now their faces were about several inches away from each other. “Are you tired of me that keep causing you hurt again and again?” Minho asked once again when they gazed into each other eyes. “Who said it? Who said that I’m tired? I’m not and will never forever.” Sulli replied and tried to covey her sincere answer into his eyes. “You don’t know how lucky I am for meeting you. I’m really appreciated your presence into my life, Minho. This normal life of mine would be nothing without you.” ‘Really Minho, I’d found no courage to continue my life if there’s no you.’ Sulli said in her heart. Minho quickly gathered her slender body into his embrace, hiding her head into his chest. “I’m so sorry. Really sorry, Jinri. For nth times I said it, how I wish you will no longer heard it from me again? But I failed to make it happen. Again, so sorry Jinri.” ‘I’m not that perfect for you to feel so wrong toward me, Minho.’ They were staying like this for many minutes until Sulli decided to break the silence. “Minho.” “Yes?” “Let’s ….. Let’s stop our wedding.” Sulli spoke breaking loose with a tear slid down from her eye. “Jinri!!” Minho withdrew the hug and looked down at Sulli. “Let’s do that, Minho. I don’t mind if we’re going to have it or not as long as you are here. That’s enough.” Sulli smiled and leaded another drop of her tear escaped. “Because I believe you.” “After what you kept suffering because of me?” Minho said and wiped her tears. He shook his head, his eyes also turned red. “You’ve gone through too much Jinri. And I did nothing to protect you. I’m such a useless bastard.” “You no need to do anything for me. Just trust your own self and keep it strong.” Sulli said and smiled. Her hand made its way to touch Minho’s cheek before she raised her head and leaned in to plant him a kiss on his lips. “You said you like me, right? And because of that, you are trying your best to find your confidence back, and you do so for what? Isn’t it because of me right, you want to protect me all of you might and love me all of your healthy hearth could grant. And this is the reason why I have belief in you, Minho. So how about you?” Minho drew out a smile. “Yes, I won’t give up and build my trust more even stronger. I trust myself that I definitely can succeed to find my confidence back, Jinri. For you, our baby and us.” This time it was him leaned down to capture Sulli’s lips for a quick peck yet so deep. “Thank you for being there and waiting for me. It won’t take long. Just bear for this rough way a little longer, soon our future will be bright and shine.” Sulli nodded her head. “That’s what my future husband and the future Daddy, we believe in. We’re willing to wait for you, just take your time as much as you want and I surely hang in there beside you.” They smiled contently at each other as Minho gave Sulli a sweet good night kiss on her forehead. Minho then tightened his arms around Sulli and hugged her securely inside his embrace and the two drove off into their deep slumber of each other warm companion.  1 month later Sulli came out from her room after got herself refreshed ready. The perfect sight view of Minho setting the dining table gracefully, enough to make her heart floated in joy and beat so fast like it always does whenever he is around. She smiled and walked toward him. “Wow! It’s so plenty. How come we finish them all?” Sulli asked when her eyes caught there were so many dishes laying on the table. “Who said that ‘we do’? It’s all only for you, Jinri.” Minho replied and at the same time he took off the apron. “C’mon sit down.” “Do you want me to become a preggy piggy?” “Mwo? Preggy piggy?” Minho repeated and laughed at her cute expression. “It’s just a breakfast after all, not to mention that for pregnant women there’s no exact meals times they have. As long as they hungry, unhesitatingly they’ll eat and eat like a mad person.” Sulli sighed and showed him a tiny pout. “Minho, don’t you think I’m developing into an actual pig right now? Look! My belly and my chubby face. I’m just in 4 months, yet there’re still 5 months ahead waiting for me. Surely, you’re going to live with a pig not Jinri anymore.” Minho couldn’t help but to pinch Sulli’s both cheeks till it turned red. How come she never showed this cute side to him before? His innocent Jinri, does also know how to act cute. Or scratch that, she really didn’t act but it’s her natural side that he had never seen it before. Hopefully from now on, he can frequently charge his energy fully by seeing her set of Aegyo. “Aigoo!! Is our Jinri here afraid of she might become a pig or afraid that I stop adoring her when she get fat?” Minho playfully teased her and Sulli just blinking at him when he actually caught what she wanted to mean. Sulli then looked away with a slight red tint on her cheeks. Minho chuckled. “Okay Jinri don’t worry, I’m still very fond of you since you’re too cute for me to resist. And listen, even if how many meals you eat per day but breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It provides you with the energy and nutrients that lead to maintain the baby and your health. It’s also the baby’s breakfast too. Ahh … It’s actually help with your morning sickness as well. The healthiest Mommy and Baby are coming from eating the meals of choice.” Minho pointed on the table. “And all of these are the best healthy foods of Umma’s choice for you.” Sulli rested her back on the chair and caressed her tiny bump stomach. “Baby! Your Daddy sometimes is like a nagging granny. Don’t you think so? Yes, I guess you somewhat al-” Sulli stopped with her whining all of sudden when Minho placing a bowl in front of her. Her eyes glowed in pleasure.  “Tomato Noddle Soup?! Wow!” “So can you please eat now, Mommy?” Minho asked with his hands rested on the table waiting for her to start eating the breakfast. “I will now. Thank you, Daddy.” Sulli grinned at Minho before grabbed chopsticks and started eating. Minho smiled and when he was about to have his breakfast as well, suddenly his phone was rang. It was also on the table beside his hand. When he took a glance and saw the caller name, he unconsciously looked at Sulli. She also watched him back before her eyes fell on his phone. But Minho was fast and took it in his hand. He immediately canceled the call and smiled awkwardly to Sulli. She smiled back at him but kinda too small. She constrainedly opened her mouth but later she did it. “Who? Why you didn’t answer it?” “Oh?” Minho was kind of caught off guard. “I didn’t know either. It was an unknown number. I was about to answer but the other line was already dead.” “Oh.” All of sudden, the whole dining table became silent and a bit awkward. But Sulli broke it. “Umm … Minho.” “Huh?” “Do you want to meet Umma?” Sulli asked. “Oh great, Jinri. Let’s go this afternoon then. This time I’ll officially introduce myself to her.” Minho said a long with his smile. “A real and right man one for her daughter.”  Sulli and Minho arrived at the cemetery. They stopped before her grave, Sulli smiled faintly staring at her Mom’s photo before she kneeled down and wiped the dust by her bare hand. “Umma! We’ve came. You must be so lonely, right?” Sulli said, her eyes getting warmer. “I’m sorry. I couldn’t give you a frequent visit.” Minho put the flower down and kneeled beside Sulli. “How have you been, Eomoni? You may rest in peace and looking down at us now.” Minho stopped and looked at Sulli, she also stared back at him. He smiled before turned back to talk with the grave. “I’d be the one who said sorry for a million times. I deserve your scold, your bad word, your punch, whatever you want to throw at me, I gladly take it. I lied to you in the first place and Jinri always hurt and enduring everything because of me.” Sulli couldn’t control her tears any longer as it already rolled down to her cheek. She caressed her photo with a strong grief filled inside her chest all over again. Talking about the lie, she also the one who was in the part of their lying. “I’m so sorry for making Jinri suffer a lot. Really sorry that I haven’t done my promise with you to take care of her all of my best but …. Can I ask you to give me another chance? To hold her tight and embrace her securely, using the rest of my life making up everything for her.” Minho squeezed Sulli’s hand and raised it. “If you give us your blessing again, surely I won’t let this precious chance slide. I vow in front of you Eomoni, I’ll always hold this hand tightly without releasing it even for a second forever and ever.” Sulli smiled tenderly while looking at the lovely man beside her. “She gladly gives us another blessing without hesitation. Umma is looking down to us from the heaven and guiding a perfect way for us to continue our journey together. I believe in her as like as I believe in you, Minho.” “Learn to endure the rough road that you might be facing in the future, but please remember don’t ever give it up. Keep that in mind and hold it tight. And so that’s your true happiness.”  “This is the valuable guiding word of Umma to me.” Sulli said and put her other free hand on the top of their hugging hand. “Minho, let’s use it and achieve it altogether. Soon the happiness is going to visible into our sights.” Minho nodded in a wide smile. He then let go of Sulli’s hands and embraced her. “Thank you, Jinri. Eomoni, thank you so much.”  “Let’s drop by at the Mart first. I need to buy all of these things.” Minho said while driving. He hand Sulli a small piece of a paper, it was well written by a long list inside. “Wow! It’s a lot.” Sulli chuckled. “Auntie is so sure how to feed her grandchild to be healthy but making the Mommy becomes a preggy piggy.” Minho laughed at her. This piggy topic again. “She just makes sure the two of you are staying in a good physical and mental condition, Mommy.” Minho parked at his car at the parking lot. “Do you need help, Daddy?” Sulli asked. “No, just wait inside the car. I’ll be quick.” Minho replied with a smile. “But-” Sulli was about to protest but Minho already out of his car. Sulli pouted. “But I’ll be bored.” Sulli was startled by a knock on the window. She jerked her head to her right side and saw Minho with a grinning face appeared. She quickly rolled the window down. “Ready?! You’re so fast. It didn’t even reach a minute yet.” Sulli asked but grinning later. “Or you came back asking me to tag along?” Minho shook his head and gave Sulli a can. Sulli took it and sighed. “Fruit juice!” Sulli said. “I know I’ll drink it all, not left even for a drop.” “Good.” Minho said. “Drink it now, I’ll hurry back inside to buy everything quickly.” Sulli smiled in contentment at Minho was running back inside the Mart. He’s really good to her. What she wish for more from this man? He gives her a lot already, tender care, sweet words, furthermore could she say ‘love’ as well. Even though he has never said it, but everything was told by his action every day. Sulli feels so completed for a month now ever since they entered into a serious relationship.   20 minutes has passed, Sulli started to feel bored waiting for Minho. She got off the car, her eyes shooting at everywhere. Sulli clicked her tongue in annoyance when she felt herself getting hungry again. In a second her eyes saw a Korea Noddle Restaurant located along side of the street. “Cold Noddle Dishes!!!”  Sulli said and swallowed her saliva in craving. “But can I eat them? Maybe it’s okay for once in a while. Right Baby?” Without thinking twice Sulli made her way toward the restaurant. But her foot glued at place all of sudden when her eyes caught a very familiar figure was standing in front the entrance.  Cold sweat started to form on her forehead, her body was tremble in fear for just a second. A man in his mid-30s, wearing a white shirt paring with a faded jeans, in his hand was holding a burning cigarette. She was watching him until he finished smoking and entered the restaurant.  Sulli quickly turned around and walked unsteadily as fast as she could back to the car. Her trembling hand opened the door and hopped in immediately. She tried to put her seatbelt, but even how much she tried she couldn’t succeed, her shaking hand always making up a mess in buckled a belt. “Aniya … Aniya …” Sulli shook her head frequently while clutching the seatbelt tightly. “It’s not him. It’s never him. I must be mistook him. Yes Sulli, it’s not him.” A loud sound of shutting door was startled her back from a deep thinking. It was Minho who entered the car. “Jinri! What’s wrong? Are you okay? You look so pale.” Minho asked in worry as soon as he landed his eyes on Sulli. She was so fragile. Sulli shook her head. “N-Nothing. L-Let’s gets out of here, Minho. Please!” “Okay.” Minho nodded his head. He chose to not ask since she seemed not in a good state right now. “Let’s me put on you.” Minho said when he saw Sulli was struggled on putting her seatbelt. Once his hand touched hers, he felt them were so cold like an ice. What’s wrong? And what happen on her while he was away? Minho saw Sulli was spacing out when his car was already parked at the apartment lot. He sighed at the frail figure of her and extended his hand to touch Sulli about to call her attention.  But as soon as his hand was on her, Sulli suddenly screamed loudly and pushed his hand harshly away from her. “Jinri!!!!” Minho uttered. It extremely got him so worried right now.   To be continued.....Thank for reading. Sorry for many mistakes there.I'll update soon :-)
