"Kyungsoo!" (1/1)

Kyungsoo stared down, wide eyed and open mouthed. Kai stared back him with a smile filling his face. He jumped up and swung his arms around Kyungsoo, embracing him tightly. Kyungsoo was still in shock, he felt himself snake his arms slowly onto Kai's back; All the emptiness he had felt in the last hour was consumed by the bundle of joy that was the boy in his arms. Kyungsoo slid out of the hug and held Kai by his shoulders, Kai still beaming at him. He looked at Kai's face, Kyungsoo almost smiled back when he noticed a smalled purple bruise occupying Kai's cheek, Kyungsoo's lips curled inwards. He pulled his hand onto Kai's face, stroking the bruise with his thumb,

"What happened? What are you even doing out here?" Kyungsoo sounded almost angry. Kai's face lost the smile and his cheeks deflated, making the bruise more prominent.

"I- I fell on the way here" Kai stammered. Kyungsoo sighed and kept stroking his cheek, he told him to be more careful. He kept questioning kai on my he didn't come inside. Kai looked down,

"I um, I came to play the piano again but, the door was shut and I..  I didn't wanna go back home yet" Kyungsoo bowed his head slightly to look at Kai, whose eyes were filling with tears.

"Hey, hey" Kyungsoo whispered, He held Kai's head and brought him into a hug. He held Kai whist he wept silently in his arms. He clutched Kai's head with one hand and his back with the other, cradling him.

After a short while of sobbing, Kai looked up from the hug with puffy red eyes. Kyungsoo Moved his hands to hold his face again, he hushed Kai,

"ah ah, it's  okay Kai. Shall we get you back home now?" Kai immediately scrunched up his face and tears started to fall again. Kyungsoo shushed him again and wiped away his tears. Kai calmed down once Kyungsoo had hugged him again. Kyungsoo asked why he didn't want to go home but he didn't get a straight response. Kyungsoo had no idea what to do,

"How old are you Kai?" Kyungsoo asked the shaking boy.

"I'm nineteen" Kai replied with a quaky voice. Kyungsoo nodded and placed his hands on his shoulders and spoke firmly,

"If you really don't want to go back, you can stay on my flat, tonight"

Kai sniffed and nodded. Kyungsoo put his arm around Kai's shoulders and guided him down the frosty streets.
