Chapter 1 (1/1)

Chapter 001   Hyorin“Hurry up, you don’t want to miss your first day at school do you?” said my mother.  “Okay mom! Coming!”  It sure was a glorious day, the nice breeze outside and the bright sun. This was going to be my first day at Namsan High School.  The school is filled with people i don’t know, to me it looks kind of friendly. The walls are a bright yellow color. On my way to the Main office to pick up my schedule, I meet some teachers. They seemed nice and were all dressed well. There were a lot of friendly people that showed me around to the main office.  I walked into the main office. The walls were were covered of medals and certificates. I walk up to a staff member and asked for my schedule.  “Hello sir, my name is Hyorin, may i have my schedule?” I asked, as politely as possible.  “Oh certainly! Just wait a moment.” he answers, as he opens his drawer and pulls my schedule out. “Here you go young lady!” “Thank you sir.” I replied, I began to walk out, I guess i wasn’t watching where i was going, and i accidently bumped into a group of boys. “I am so sorry!” I said. I heard, phff and then they left.  I heard the bell and i started to panick. I thought to myself, “I was gonna be late to class on my first day of school!” That was when suddenly this tall, sweet looking guy came over and helped me pick up my stuff up.  “Thank you.” I said in shock  “You're welcome” he smiled and walked away. His smile…… I quickly went to class trying not to think about what just happened. I sit down and look around the room. There he was….sitting across from me. I looked over at him and he smile back to me. I think to myself, “Hyorin, are you having a crush?”  After my first three classes were over, It was finally lunch time. I didn’t know anybody, so I sat alone during lunch. A girl came up to me, she seemed very friendly, we started to talk.  Her name was Minhee. This wasn’t her first year at this high school, so she said she would show me around. She told me that there are two groups of guys in this school that I might encounter. U-kiss and Infinite.  “Infinite, this is the group that most girls go crazy for, especially Myungsoo. U-kiss is the sweeter group, the girls usually fall for Kevin and AJ. The Infinite boys are known for their charisma and their eye catching looks. The U-kiss boys are known for their unique style and their caring personality. Especially Kevin.” she says, reaching for her banana bread.   “Oh interesting, so you got any pictures of these people so I at least recognize them?” I replied “Yeah, here are the Infinite boys” she said, pulling her yearbook. Oh my, i thought, they were very handsome indeed. Now I understand why they are so popular amongst the girls. She flips to another page. “These are the U-kiss boys.” I stare at the picture. I glance toward all the members…..and i stumble upon the boy I saw earlier.  “Um, who is that guy” I point to the picture of him. “Oh that is Kevin, the one that most girls go crazy for. Seems like you are one of them haha.” she laughs. Kevin.  I think, “This is the guy that you fell for?” I think back to him helping pick up my stuff and his heartwarming smile. I suddenly feel a little push. “Hey, hey are you okay, you are blushing!”  I hear  “Oh wait what, um I’m fine, thanks” I answer “Um, so these boys…..do you like any of them?” I asked quietly.  “Of course! I like Myungsoo, I think he is so good looking and is just so HOT!” she says “Oh cool, I’m gonna go dump my garbage” I said, getting up. There were so many tables. I glance around trying to see if I can spot the boy “groups.” I did. I found both tables.  I could definitely see the difference. The Infinite table so fancy, to me I felt like they were kinda rich.  I glance over to the U-kiss table, although they didn’t have all the decorations, their table was very clean. I couldn’t spot a speck of food that weren’t on their plates. I spot Kevin. He was coming toward me to throw out garbage. I quickly turned around and pretend I didn't see him.  But right then I heard, “Hi there, I hear you are new to this school.” “Yes” I answered quietly.  “My name is Kevin, nice to meet you. We are in many classes together, hope we will become friends.” he said smiling.  “My name is Hyorin, yes, I hope we can become friends.” I replied. he smiled at me, then unexpectedly he hugged me walked away back to his table of “perfect.”  This feeling hit me…..was i falling in love?
