Sweets (1/1)
It was Bangtan’s most awaited comeback. Being donned as the best Rookie, they have to maintain their name as is. It hasn’t been a year since the Bangtan boys have debuted in Korea yet they have been gracing the charts as one of the most promising groups in the history of KPOP. As the boys rise to their fame, their groups of fans, A.R.M.Y’s, have stood behind them as well. And BTS’ number one fan has always stood behind the boys as well. “Kookie~” Haerin cooed on the phone. She was currently at home eating her steaming ramen when she called the guy on the other line. “Yah~! Haerin! Where are you?” The guy on the other line shouted. “I’m at home!” Haerin said. “Have you seen them? Have you, have you, have you?” Jungkook excitedly asked on the phone, Haerin could already imagine her best friend jumping in excitement. “Yea! They look so cool! Our Kookie looks so cool~” Haerin compliments the comeback photos of Bangtan posted on the Internet just two seconds ago. “Of course!” Haerin could already imagine the smirk forming in Jungkook’s lips. “So, cupcake, you’re definitely coming to our comeback stage, right? For our showcase?” Rachelle nods, forgetting that she was on the phone, Jungkook couldn’t see her nodding, and instead she says a yes, followed by laughter in between. “It’s on the fourteenth, Friday, remember?” Jungkook informed. Rachelle’s mouth went agape, ’“What? Wait, that’s our anniversary, too! I can’t!” “What do you mean you can’t? But you promised me!!” Jungkook whined. “CUPCAAAKEEE~~” He cooed, calling Haerin’s pet name in English. Jungkook had called her that ever since they met, and he was the only guy who could call her something as sweet as that either. “I can’t, Kookie! You know I’d support you any day but I can’t on the fourteenth!” Jungkook was pouting as he held on his phone. “We’re going to meet on the fifteenth, I promise, okay? We can always celebrate our friend-sary a day after, and then we could celebrate your comeback as well. So, Kook, stop sulking; I can hear you sigh miles away. You would do well on your comeback, I swear.” Haerin smiled. "But it's different when you're not there. What's your valid reason, cupcake? Why can't you come to our showcase?" Jungkook's voice was now sounding so depleted. "I-- I have something to do, I can't not do it on the fourteenth. That’s the last day." “But—“ “Kookie? I’m sorry, okay? But I’d always be to support you, not just on the fourteenth. I know how important your comeback is but – this thing I’m doing is as important as you, as well. I’ll make up, okay?” “Alright..” Jungkook sighs. “Thank you, Kook. I love you, hwaiting!” She calls and then ends the conversation. As soon as Haerin turns off the call, her eyes go to the papers staring at her. It was the letter sent by the Seoul School of Arts. She had an interview scheduled on the fourteenth at the academy. Haerin had always dreamed of going to that school, because of her passion in singing, Haerin’s goal was to study there. Jungkook knew of this dream, because they were dreaming it together. Both passionate in singing, Jungkook and Haerin became best friends venturing on the same journey, although Jungkook chose the path of fame, and Haerin, well, she wanted to broaden her knowledge first. But Haerin kept the letter a secret to Jungkook, she didn’t want him to know about it because she wasn’t even sure if she would pass the admission performance. Bangtan’s comeback finally came. It was early in the morning when the boys woke up to prepare for their showcase. ARMY’s were already lining up at the venue in support of the boys and Haerin, well, she was nervously walking towards the academy. Bringing with her the guitar that they both share, she went to the school. A few people were lined up there as well, and as she got her number, she was 27th of who would enter the room filled with the board of professors. They would be assessing each student and would only choose 25 of 90 applicants, and Haerin hopes that she is one of those. Haerin sang IU’s Someday while accompanied with her guitar, her soothing voice filling up the room. The assessors have stoic expressions, making her more nervous as she sang. After the song ended, she bowed to everyone on the room while they said that they would be sending an e-mail if she gets accepted in the university.
