Spent the Night (1/1)
Minseok's first day was a bit terrifying. He doesn't talk much, and he never really socialized well at his last school. What he DID know, was that it was a good desicion to join the dance team. He met Yixing, and could tell he might actually have friends here.
His confidence lowered after he saw the jocks staring at him. He knew what was coming. It wasn't the first time he'd ever been bullied, and he knew he wasn't as weak as everyone thought him out to be. But still, using violence wasn't his style. So he waited. He thought, hey, maybe if I wait it out a bit, they'll stop. Of course, this kept going for a couple of days, and his patience was running thin. He knew better than to believe their words, but his childhood obesity started to haunt him. And that's why he hid after school on the first day.
He decided he would wait a bit, not wanting to run into anyone and have his day ruined all over again. So of course, the school's janitor's closet was the play no one would be after school. Everyone wanted out or had sports practice. Oh yeah, sports practice......
Everyone that bullied him were on some type of sports team. He knew, he'd have to wait them out if he wanted his extra stuff he put in his gym locker. He brought extra clothes, since he knows he sweats BUCKETS, and sure didn't want to stink on the first day. So he sat, and waited, studied, read, and eventually, fell asleep.
He woke at 11 pm.
"Shit. My parents are going to absolutely kill me," said Minseok, knowing they would worry their heads off, especially since it's his first day. He decided to lie. He pulled out his phone and dialed home.
"Umma, I'm at a friend's house. We're studying, so don't worry about me. I'll spend the night and come home tomorrow after school. Anneyong," he said quickly, not wanting his mom to hear the lie in his tone.
He walked out, and saw the school doors locked, no surprise there. He walked to the locker rooms, seeing if he could get his stuff, but it was locked as well. He decided to wait more and wash up in the morning as soon as the locker room opens, as he remembered seeing showers. So back in the closet he went. He set his phone alarm as early at 3:30, knowing that someone cleans the school early and opens up the doors for students who have sports practice. He wanted to get out and clean early, as he didn't want anyone catching him. Then, off to bed he went to catch a few more hours of sleep.
His high pitched alarm went off and he quickly jumped to his feet. He turned it off and rushed outside. Relieved to see the school and locker room doors open, he went inside to shower.
As he relished in the warm water and the quietness of the locker room, he started to think about how, if this kept up, he'd never fit in. Sighing, he turned off the water and used the school provided towels. Quickly, he started to get changed, knowing some kids come to school ridiculously early. Strangely, his ears didn't pick up the sound of someone walking in. He struggled with his baggy shirt for a bit, not noticing the eyes watching him.
