He watched as she ran her small hand through her silky hair. Maybe what he said was out of line, but it was nonetheless true. His eyes fixed on her hand and that's when he noticed it. The bracelet. Jiyong smirked, "I thought you hated me." Kalin snapped her head up and looked at him, "I do." He nodded towards her direction, "But you're wearing our matching bracelet." Her eyes looked at her right wrist and she scoffed, "I'm only wearing this because I promised your parents." Somehow, it had hurt Jiyong. He secretly hoped there was some kind of reason she kept it on that had to do with him, not his parents. Admitting defeat, he let her finish taking care of him. Though he didn't want it, his body was aching for her to touch him. He wanted to hold her hand like a lover would. He wanted to hold her as they slept like a couple. He wanted to kiss her like a boyfriend. But he couldn't. Because she already had someone who loved her.He watched her every movement as she handed him his medicine and glass of water. He watched as she set a cool towel on his forehead to hopefully help his rising temperature. He watched it all, but there was one thing he didn't see. She couldn't look at him. Not one glance was sent his way unless she was taking the towel and drowning it in cool water, only to be placed onto his head again. What was this feeling in his chest? It was as if something inside him was dying. Like the fact she couldn't even look at him was burning him inside. The organ a little to the left of his chest hurt. As if it was breaking. He furrowed his eye brows and bit his lip, this feeling was strange. His head snapped up as he watched her get her things and stand up, "I'm leaving." He wanted so much to hold her back, but she was too far. He watched as she disappeared once his bedroom door closed, leaving him in the suffocating silence. The pain in his chest seemed to stop him from breathing as he took slow, deep breaths. What was happening to him? He grabbed a fistful of his shirt, right above the almost bleeding muscle. For every beat, a wave of pain replaced blood. It was heart break. His eyes widened to his realization. He shook his head, not believing it but it just seemed to make the pain worse. He raked his hands through his hair and groaned. Why was he facing heart break?Kalin made it back to De Novo in record time, getting away from the former hell hole as fast as she could. She rushed into her office, not even acknowledging anyone. As she sank in her seat, her hands began to shake as she covered her eyes. It was terrifying, returning to the place that gave her so much pain. It was horrifying to take care of the man who caused it all. Trauma. It seeped through her as she grew more and more hysterical, crying and violently shaking. Her heart rate increased as the scenes of Jiyong thrusting in and out of her replayed. Her legs started to feel numb as if her body was reenacting how she felt while he had his way. Cold sweat and goose bumps formed as she couldn't escape the day dream. Was it really a day dream? She wasn't enjoying it, not one bit. His moans seemed to echo throughout her ears, her brain was remembering it all so vividly too. She repeatedly shook her head, side to side, hoping it would stop, "No. No. No!" Luckily Mimi had buzzed her, "Ms. Lee?" Kalin's brain's tricks seemed to have vanished in a split second. She shakily pressed the talk button, "Yes?" She sounded breathless and scared, Mimi had noticed but chose not to question it. "Jae-ssi wants to see you." Kalin sighed, somehow she was scared to see
