Secret: Kill This Love (1/1)

Secret: Kill This Love   He crossed his left leg over his right. “You seem troubled, Miss Jung,” Doctor Jo commented as he watched Jessica fidget in her seat.  Jessica’s startling eyes flickered upon hearing his words. “Oh…” she lifted her head and looked up at Doctor Jo In Sung in the eyes. “I’m…I don’t know where to beginning,” Jessica exhaled a breath to calm her anxious heart. Her emotions overwhelmed her, yet she knew that if she didn’t talk it out with her psychiatrist, her mental state would only get worse.    He halted his pen after scribbling down some notes. “You seemed fine the last time we talked and that was before Spring Break. Did something happen while you were on break?”  Jessica gave Doctor Jo a small nod. “I went on a trip with Taeyeon to Hokkaido.”  “Ah, I see,” Doctor Jo wrote down some more notes on his yellow legal pad. “Would you say that your perplexity stems from Kim Taeyeon? Why don’t you tell me about your trip with her.”  “Okay…” Jessica straightened up in her seat and gave herself a second to collect her thoughts. “Taeyeon and I hitchhiked a ride to the nearest town in Hokkaido after being stranded on the road. The driver ended up dropping us off at…” she paused, feeling a little embarrassed about her situation with Taeyeon, but she trusted Doctor Jo enough to tell him everything. “A love hotel called My Heaven. Honestly, it wasn’t actually as weird or awkward as it sound. That was the only option for us that night and I didn’t really mind that much.”    Jessica shifted her gaze to Taeyeon. “So this is our only choice huh?”   “Yup, that ahjushi said that this is the closest and basically the only accommodation in this small town,” Taeyeon awkwardly chuckled as she looked at the heart shaped neon sign that glowed in red.    “First time for everything I guess…even for a love hotel,” Jessica murmured out her words.    “Well, let’s hope we can go to heaven tonight,” Taeyeon made a joke out of the name of the hotel.    “My Heaven is such a tacky name for a hotel.”  “For a normal hotel yes, but it’s a pretty good name for a love hotel though. It also complements the business next door,” Taeyeon held in her laughter as she observed Jessica’s reaction.    Jessica turned her attention over to the shop right next to the hotel. “Suit Up?” she looked up at the sign with a poker face. “Is that a sex shop?” she asked flatly.   “I mean I’m sure that’s a smiling condom we’re looking at,” she pointed at the other neon sign that mounted on the sex shop’s window. “I kinda like the pun to the name though. Suit up, get it? It’s clever,” Taeyeon immaturely snickered to herself.   “You’re so immature,” Jessica rolled her eyes.   “It’s funny!”    “Come, you little short pervert,” Jessica took a jab at Taeyeon’s height to tease the older girl. “Let’s go get ourselves a love hotel room so we can shower and sleep soon. I’m so tired,” she grabbed Taeyeon by the arm and pulled the short girl into the hotel.     “Doctor Jo,” Jessica broke away from her story when she caught Jo In Sung smiling while taking notes. “Is the story really that funny?”  “I’m terribly sorry, Jessica,” Doctor Jo refrained himself from laughing out loud. “You and Taeyeon are very youthful, young adults. Your playfulness reminds me of when I was young. Please continue with your story.”    “This room is pretty nice.” As she scanned the room, Jessica noticed the king size bed in the center, a T.V., and through the glass walls in the corner, she can also see a regular hotel size bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower stall. “I was expecting it to be janky.”  “Yea it’s a lot better than I’d expected,” Taeyeon sat her backpack down on the bed and was surprised to see rose petals scattered all over the white pillows and blood red duvet. “If only red wasn’t the color scheme and the lights weren’t so dim, I would say that everything looks pretty normal to me.”   “The room does give off a romantic vibe.”  “Anyway, why don’t you go shower first? I’ll go get us some food from the convenient store across the street,” Taeyeon grabbed her wallet.  “Okay, I should be done by the time you get back.”  “I’ll be back soon,” Taeyeon walked out the door and closed it behind her.   Jessica quickly stepped inside the shower once Taeyeon left the room. She was actually glad that Taeyeon had left to go buy food since the walls to the bathroom were transparent. It would have been so awkward if she had to make Tayeeon step out or tur
