Dare You To Move gailardia 72200K 2023-12-10

----------  Yuri woke up extra early to prepare for her first day in the university. She was walking and bustling around her room getting her needs in her bag when she heard a commotion outside her room. She opened her door and was shocked to see a figure sprawled on the floor of the foyer and Yoona standing beside the unmoving body, a pan in her hands. "Oops…" Yoona said with a sheepishly. Yuri stood still and looked at her with gaping mouth. "Do you usual knock your visitors down as a greeting?" They both stared at the sprawled body. They ended up calling the guard of their dormitory to help them bring the guy's body to the clinic. Yoona couldn't stop apologizing to Yuri after they realized that the latter was already thirty minutes late for her first class on her first day. She even came as far as to accompany Yuri to the university and to her room just so she could explain to Yuri's professor why she was late and maybe, save the girl from punishment. That didn't save the girl from the impending embarrassment though as her professor decided that Yuri should stand in front of the class to introduce herself (in Yuri's case, it is embarrassing). Yoona could only look at her apologetically as they bid goodbye for she had to go back to the dormitory to prepare for her own class. Yuri gave the girl a small smile and pat on the shoulder mouthing that it was fine. "Totally not fine." Yuri thought as she watched Yoona's retreating figure. "Okay, okay. Class, settle down. We have a new addition to our class, a transferee from the capital of South Korea." The professor said then motioned for Yuri to step inside the room. Yuri stepped into the room and felt that everyone's attention was on her. She never liked having everyone's attention focused on her. Taking a deep breath, she used much of her energy to look as confident as she could be in front of everyone. "Annyeonghaseyo. My name is Kwon Yuri. Please take care of me." She said introducing herself with a bow. She heard her classmates murmuring and whispering with one another. She saw the looks they gave her. She knew then that they already had a hunch of who she really is. "Kwon? As in Kwon, the family of doctors?" Her professor asked, which she didn't really help her plan of keeping a low profile, might she add. "Y-yes, ma'am." She gulped as she heard the whispers go wild after the confirmation. What can she do when she's been so famous and hot around the media the past year? Reported as the family's black sheep; the one who seemed who got lost along the way; the one who always cause trouble; the one and only headache of the family and so much more. "Okay! It's nice to have you here Ms. Kwon. You can take that seat, beside the empty one by the window." Yuri uttered her thanks to the professor with a slight bow of her head before she walked to her seat silently with her eyes stuck on the tiled floor. The professor continued her discussion from where she was interrupted while Yuri took her seat and tried her best to go and listen despite the looks that her classmates continued to give her. Feeling uncomfortable from the stares and the whispers, she took out her pen and notebook and write down whatever she can to distract herself and block out the whispers and stares. She felt like it took forever before her first class ended though she was already late for the first half of it. So as soon as the professor left the room, Yuri took her things and scrambled to her feet to leave the room as fast as she could just to get away. She walked briskly to her next class ignoring everything around her. She entered through the back door and sat on the chair on the back corner. She turned her head away, facing the window beside her so the students entering the room would not see her face. The professor entered not long after but she only continued to watch the students on the field having their physical education class. She enjoyed watching the students run around with those bright smiles plastered on their faces. They looked like kids in her eyes; kids who knows how to have fun; kids who doesn't even give a care to the world. "Get back here Kwon Yuri!" A young girl shouted behind the young Yuri as she ran farther while laughing to her heart's content. "Catch me if you can!" She yelled back before turning to face the young girl, running backwards and sticking her tongue out at the young girl. "I swear, if I catch you…" The young girl panted. "What? If you catch me, what would you do?" Young Yuri asked mocking the young girl. The young girl could only huff and pout as Yuri continued to tease her. After lots of teasing, banters and running, they lied on the grass in the Kwon's backyard side by side panting, desperate for oxygen. "You'll be the death of me." Young Yuri continued to pant. The young girl turned to face Yuri, flashing her smile to the tan girl. "At least you'll die happy. And that's because of me." She said with pride then giggled. Yuri smiled at the memory. That young girl was her only friend; her one and only real friend since. She was the only who took the time to get to know her. She was the only one who risked and looked deeper into her. She didn't expect her to come. And she didn't expect her to leave too. "Yul-ah. Hey. Uljima." Her friend cooed wiping her tears and gave her a small smile. Yuri didn't know how her friend could still smile during that time. They were going to part. They will be separated. She was her only friend and she was going to leave her. "You're leaving me." Teenaged Yuri muttered as more tears formed in her eyes. Her friend frowned at what she said before she held her cheeks with both of her hands, wiping the overflowing tears with her thumbs. "I'm not leaving you." "Yes you are. You're going to the other side of the world." Yuri pouted making the latter smile and pinched her cheeks. "Yeah. But you'll always be here," she pointed to her temple. "and here." She pointed to her chest, where her heart is. "And I hope I am in yours too." Yuri nodded eagerly as more tears flowed from her eyes. She just can't seem to stop her tears from flowing. "Aigoo. Look at you crying. And you dare call me cry baby." Her friend teased her as she helped her wipe the tears. "I don't know why I'm crying like this but the tears just keep on flowing. I can't stop it. Maybe you should try staying here, then maybe my tears would stop flowing." Yuri sniffed and wiped the remains of her tears. "You know I don't want to leave either." "Then don't." Yuri said indignantly, looking straight at the brown orbs right in front of her. "Just stay here. Just be with me here. Don't leave me." "You know I can't Yul." Her friend said as her arms fell to her sides. Yuri pursed her lips before nodding, but she still cannot accept the fact that her only friend is really going. "How about we go get some ice cream? My treat." Her friend bargained with hopeful smile. Yuri looked at her friend's eyes a little longer before she responded with her own smile that she believes her friend has been waiting for her to show. "If you would always treat me ice cream like this, then you could leave me as many times as you want anytime and I wouldn't mind at all." She joked to lighten up their mood. "Yah!" Her friend shoved her playfully. She only laughed and stuck her tongue out at her friend before wrapping her arm around her shoulder. "Are you going to miss me, Yul?" Yuri pretended to not hear the question. Deep inside her, she knew she'd rather not have many friends just to keep the one beside her. If only she could do something to keep her, she would've done anything. But life wasn't a genie that would grant any wish that you wish from it.  "Will you be missing me, Yul?" Her friend asked again taking a side glance at her. Yuri looked back at her. She pulled her friend closer and tightened her hold. "Everyday, more than you'll ever know." The ring of the bell caught Yuri's attention and the next thing she knows, the professor already bid them goodbye. She took her things from the open drawer under her desk when a neatly folded piece of paper fell. She looked at the paper with a raised brow then around the room, looking for a suspicious person who might have placed the paper in her desk while she was busy reminiscing. With a sigh, she bent down and picked up the paper. She tipped and turned the paper looking for some clue that may give her an idea of who owned it but there was none. She was about to unfold the paper but the next set of students started entering the room. In her hurry to leave the room, she ended up placing the paper inside her bag in the safety confines of the pages of her notebook. Her last class before her break time seemed to fly fast as she also enjoyed the discussion. She was surprised when a student took the floor to start the discussion. It was her first time to experience to have a student like her, teach the lesson. She remembered about the university having students as assistant teachers as form of scholarship. They step up when the professor they're assigned to is absent and conduct the activity or teach the lesson. Other than that, well, they assist the professors. She admits they were better than some of her previous professors though. During her break time, Yuri walked to the field she saw earlier from her classroom and spent her time watching new sets of students having their physical education class. She was enjoying her lunch when something caught her attention from the group of students.  She saw two familiar figures running and fooling around the field. Another figure came after the two, dragging them by the ears. Yuri could only laugh at the sight of Yoona and Sooyoung being reprimanded by a much shorter girl. Yoona caught her eyes and smiled brightly to her while waving both of her hands up wildly. Sooyoung who caught the action followed Yoona's line of sight and found Yuri watching them. The two started jumping and waving at the chuckling Yuri. The shorter girl beside the two met her eyes too and greeted her with a slight bow which she returned. She saw Yoona and Sooyoung grabbed the shorter girl's wrists and ran dragging the poor girl to her direction. She could only shake her head as she heard their loud voices get closer to her. "Unnie, unnie!" Yoona called her sounding too eager. Yuri chuckled as she stood up to greet the three. "Annyeonghaseyo." "Eyy unnie. What's with the formality? I thought we've passed that." Yoona said side hugging Yuri. "Yuri-ah, Yuri-ah! We want you to meet this danshin!" Sooyoung shouted. "Yah!" Their shorter friend slapped Sooyoung on the back. "Oww! What's with you and Hyoyeon? Always harassing me." Sooyoung pouted. "Unnie, unnie! This is Sunny unnie." Yoona said pulling Sunny to stand in front of Yuri, ignoring Sooyoung who was still whining about physical harassment. "Sunny unnie, this is Yuri unnie, the one we're talking to you about. She's my new roommate!" Yoona beamed again still side hugging Yuri. "Hi Yuri-ssi. Like this choding said, I'm Sunny." Sunny extended a hand. Yuri took her hand in a friendly handshake. "I'm Yuri. It's nice to meet you." "It's nice to meet you too." Sunny smiled, showing her set of eye smile. Yuri's breath hitched receiving the eye smile making her stare at the girl longer than she should. "Let me guess, this choding welcomed you in a way that would turn your world upside down. And I mean it literally." Sunny narrowed her eyes in an accusing glare directed to Yoona obviously oblivious of her effect on the other girl. "Ah unnie! It was an accident. We thought she was my stalker!" Yoona defended. Yuri snapped out of her trance and was reminded of last night's events where she was hung upside down by accident. She unconsciously rubbed the lump that was formed on her head with a slight grimace. "We? This giant joined in too?" Sunny pulled Sooyoung down by the ear. "Oww! Oww! Why are you so violent?" Sooyoung yelped rubbing her now reddish ear. "Just be grateful I'm the one doing the punishment today." Sunny smirked. "Sucks to be friends with you then." Sooyoung muttered, crossing her arms. "Ooooh…" Yoona mocked looking at Sunny's reaction. "You better not mean that Choi because I swear I can live just fine without you as my friend." Sunny glared at Sooyoung. "Oh. She's serious Soo. You're doomed." Yoona mocked Sooyoung. "Oh fudge." Sooyoung said in regret, uncrossing her arms. "Anyway, we have to go back to our class. Our professor's already there. It's really nice meeting you. Let's just drop the formality, okay? And let's hangout later together with the others." Sunny smiled again. "Yeah. Sure." Yuri smiled back. "Yoong, let's go." Sunny said then left, completely ignoring Sooyoung. "Sunny-ah, mianhe~" Sooyoung pouted. "Bye unnie. See you later." Yoona waved with a giggle, following the two while Yuri watched their retreating figure accompanied by Sooyoung's plea of forgiveness. Yuri's last class was a free cut since their supposed professor was absent. And the teaching assistant was absent too. Yoona's and the others' class won’t finish until two hours later, so deciding to do herself a favor, Yuri took a campus map from the lobby of the main building. She spent her free time touring around the campus, familiarizing herself with the buildings and sites for the future use. She was resting on the swing in the garden two hours later after walking around when she remembered that she didn’t have Yoona's number or any them for the matter. And as far as she could remember, she didn't give any of them her number too. "Aissh. Stupid. Now how are you going to meet them inside this huge campus?" Yuri groaned, scratching her non-itchy head. She stood up and decided to go back to the benches by the field. She was hoping that the others would think she'd wait for them at the same place they last seen each other. Minutes of waiting, Yuri found no traces of the people she's been waiting for. She remained seated for a few more minutes and heard a loud screeching noise from the campus' speakers. She grimaced covering her ears before she heard a familiar voice. "Hello? Hello? Is this thing on?" Yoona's voice resounded from the speakers. Yuri's jaw slacked as she stared at the nearest speaker which was attached at the pole behind her. She didn't know exactly what to feel. She was bewildered and at the same time embarrassed. She was in awe with Yoona's capability to do anything by her will without a doubt and without being embarrassed at all. As if she could run around the campus with the most embarrassing outfit and she wouldn't be bothered at all. She might even enjoy and do it everyday instead. "It’s working just fine Yoong." Yuri heard Sooyoung's voice from the background. Yuri palmed her face in embarrassment. She should have known those two were together. Her family dared to call her a professional trouble maker when these two girls she's listening to are clearly the professional ones. Her family should meet these two then they would know the definition of professional trouble maker. "Oh. That's good then." By then, Yuri knew that every student in the campus was listening to Yoona and she could only sigh. "Annyeonghaseyo dear students. Im Yoona imnida. I'm here just to make a short announcement. You see, we have a friend who's new to our campus and we lost her. So if anyone sees her, please tell her to go to the Student Center Building. Oh wait. She's new here. Maybe she wouldn’t know where that building is." Yuri heard the students around her laugh while she could just stay mum in embarrassment. "Ah! I know. Unnie, I'll give you my number okay? Get your phone ready." Yuri gaped once again. What the hell is wrong with this girl? What is she thinking? Is she for real? Announcing her number to the whole student body? Like, seriously? Yuri looked around her and found that almost everyone had their phones out, ready to punch in the number that was to be announced. Hesitantly, she took her phone out and typed in the numbers being announced. "Okay! Give it a call unnie. See you later!" Yoona said before the line was cut. Yuri started walking and waited for everyone to return to their business before calling the number. It took her several times of trials before she was able to connect. She guessed that the other students who took the opportunity to take Yoona's number were also contacting her. The phone rang a few more times before the receiver picked up. "Stop calling me or else I'm going to hunt you down and kill you." A familiar voice threatened. Yuri was taken aback to hear a different voice apart from Yoona. She didn't expect Hyoyeon to answer the phone. She pulled her phone away from her ear and stared at it like it was some kind of an alien. Then it hit her, Yoona gave out the poor innocent girl's number out in the public instead of hers. Yuri could only shake her head. "Hyoyeon-ah, it's me." Yuri said in a calm manner. There was a short pause on the other line. "Yuri?" "Yeah. Hi." "Hi." Another pause. "I'm going to kill that alligator and flag pole."    ----------Here's an update like I mentioned yesterday. I hope you enjoy this chapter. We have another character added. Yey!
