Your wondering, why cant she have fun like any 17 year old girl? Well, simple answer. Her Umma."School on top and Social Life is at the bottom of your list." Umma says everyday to remind Haru to study harder and better each day. And thats what she does. Haru turned into those bookworms and doesnt make any friends thanks to her Ummas rule. But, Haru doesnt mind one bit. She actually likes being locked up in her room and read 1000 page books.  Why does her Umma do this? Well, Mrs. Kim was homeless and poor in her younger years. Only school and education keeps her away from her troubles. She was ranked #1 in her senior years. Soon after that her research made her a millionare away from poverty. But, along the way she met her complete opposite of her. Appa. Harus appa is the fun of the family. He would always try to sneak in some candies when shes locked in her room. Appa also tries to convince Umma to give Haru a break since shes been locked up freuquently. The answer? "NO" But he doesnt give up that easily. Appa teaches Haru life. Not the scientific part of life but the fun things in life. Laughter, freedom and friends. Which Haru doesnt have at all.  Maybe your thinking, "Wow, she must be emotionless as a rock or shes such an ice princess." No, no, no Haru isnt emotionless nor an ice queen. Shes actually really pure hearted and sweet. She doesnt talk since she thinks that her words arent important for the world to hear.
