For this particular young lady, living up to the title of the ‘perfect daughter’ was quite a challenge. Her job was really rather simple. She was to attend meetings she had no care for, feign interest in those she deemed irksome, maintain grades that were of no use to her and recognize the unfortunate fact that her life’s path had been set in stone decades ago. She had come to accept her fate by the sheer age of twelve; there was just no other choice. She was the standard, eldest daughter of an affluent household: powerful, yet not. She could order around as many servants as she pleased, however all of that would amount to nil, as she would ultimately return to being but a mere puppet of her father.In the eyes of the average Korean, she was living the dream. To her, it was nothing of the sort; although she didn’t believe it to be a nightmare either. She knew she was, to some extent, blessed. Let’s face it; she wasn’t starving to death in the middle of Russia, she wasn’t infected by an ill-fated case of melanoma, she didn’t even have acne. Heck. She had money, brains and, although she refused to believe it, beauty. But her life was bland. Colourless. Dull. She wanted change. She needed an escape.No, she wasn’t going to run away. She wasn’t stupid. It wasn’t as if she was suffocating under the pressures of high society. No. She was purely bored. Her life had turned lacklustre. She couldn’t see the purpose of living if there was nothing she truly yearned to live for. Her father settled for no less than that of perfection and she wanted out. So what if she was given that chance? That chance to flee the humdrum lives of the rich and annoying. Would she take it? ForewordSo uh, Im expecting raving reviews and a billion subsc- IM JOKING.
