In my high school, we have this tradition we students like to call "Love Binds." There are rings—two of them—and surprise, surprise, two people wear them. Two special people, and it happens once every year. Im sure this sounds quite stupid, believe me, it should. The whole school anticipates the couple who gets the rings. The students vote, the votes get counted, and of course, the ring-holders are announced at an event we like to call "The Junction." But for single people, like me, we completely despise this tradition because its nothing but boasting about how "perfect" this couple is. Most students despise it simply because they feel alone, but for me, I am completely fine being single—in fact, I love it! Its just the stupidity of this tradition always gets to me. The love bind rings are the perfect way to boost someones ego and to become more popular. I mean, thats how I see it.
