Im from Egypt, but I have a Korean aunt. When my aunt and uncle offered for me to move back with them to Korea, I agreed within seconds. I didnt have to think about it, I already knew that Korea is where my heart belonged. Why? Because the love of my life lived there. I was determined to meet him at all costs. "Aunt Taeyeon and uncle Luka are here! Wash up and go greet them! Hurry up!" She still cant pronounce Taeyeon correctly. Ive taught you so many times mom, but your forgetfulness is part of who you are. I went to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. I brushed my hair and styled it just like the last time Taeyeon did it for me. A Jjokjin Meori she had called it. "Its a special hairdo. Ill do it this way for you the day you get married." she had told me. I ran down stairs and smiled as I saw Taeyeon setting down her hand bag. "Unnie!" I called out as I ran to her. I lept into her wide open arms. Taeyeons hugs were always the warmest out of all my family. "Anna, we have something to talk to you about--" Taeyeon began. The doorbell rang, signaling the arrival of my package. I finally got my hands on a copy of Kim Sunggyus "Another Me" album. When I brought it back to the living room unnies eyes widened in surprise. "Kim Sunggyu? Anna, hes my cousin!" As my jaw dropped open, my package dropped to the floor. "Unnie, please dont joke around with me like that!" I said laughing it off. I knelt down to pick my package back up. "Theres no way...that would be too convenient." Taeyeon frowned and knelt down next to me. She looked me straight in the eyes and said, "Are you calling me a liar, Anna? Im serious!" I sighed as I put my precious package on the coffee table. "Its probably a different person. Im sorry unnie, but its still really hard to believe." I said with a sad smile. "Youre so stubborn!" Taeyeon exclaimed. She grabbed me by the arm and ran over to her suitcase. She pulled out a photo album and flipped through the pages furiously. She suddenly stopped and directed my attention to a picture of a young man with silky black hair. He was mesmerizingly beautiful. His eyes were rather small, but enchanting. His smile was the sweetest, most heart-warming smile I had ever seen. I couldnt stop staring at the picture. He reminded me of a hamster. "You see? Thats him when he was 19." My mouth agape, I turned to Taeyeon and hugged her. "Im so sorry I doubted you unnie!" She put away the photo album and rushed me back to the living room. I sat down on the couch along with Taeyeon and uncle Luka."Anna, we promised Taeyeons parents that wed visit after at least a year of being married. Its been two years now and were planning on visiting Korea again. Would you like to come visit with us?" uncle Luka asked. Without a second thought I blurted out, "Id love to!" He smiled and said, "I thought youd say that. We already have your parents permission, now go get ready! The plane leaves in three hours!" I lept to my feet and ran back up stairs to pack. This was like a dream come true! Maybe Id get to meet Sunggyu! My heart was fluttering with happiness. I almost couldnt believe this was really happening. But this was reality. I was sure I was wide awake.That day was probably the happiest of my life. If only it could have stayed that way. Authors NoteHi there! Lets all keep our fingers crossed that I dont bore you to death. I decided to go for a vanilla, fluffy type story. As with all my stories, theres going to be a tragic aspect. I hope it doesnt ruin the story for anyone. Dont worry, I wont harm Sunggyu. I wouldnt dream of it. This is somewhat based off of what I wish could happen to me. Though in reality my aunt is Chinese and theres a 0% chance shes related to Sunggyu. But I can always dream, right? So I hope you enjoy this little dream of mine.
