Taemin and Heaven have been best friends ever since Heaven, otherwise known as Jung Haneul, moved in from the States when she was just one. Though, Heaven is different. She is mute and cannot speak. She could, if she wanted to, but her traumatizing past with her abusive single father has made her silent forever. Heavens father has ordered her to stay inside. The only connection that she can get from the outside world is Taemin, who lives in the next apartment complex just across from the lone window in her bedroom. Their only form of communication is a series of paper airplanes that Heaven hides secretly in a box under her bed. For years they have communicated this way, but their friendship will forever change when Heaven falls in love and Taemin gets sick.This story is an entry in the Give Me A Year 2.0 Writing Contest, inspired by this.
