Joanna is an 18 year old half Chinese and half African American girl who hopes to express her sexuality more when she enrolls in a performing arts university.  She never had the chance to express her bisexuality because she came from a very conservative family.  She is afraid to tell her parents that she is bisexual, especially to her homophobic father.  On her first day of college, she meets a Youtube famous dancing and singing group called GOT7.  She immediately becomes attracted to Jackson and feels he might be the one, however she thinks she might have blown her chance with him when she unintentionally insults Jacksons transgendered twin sister Jackie.  Even though Joanna originally wanted Jackson, her heart eventually started going towards a direction she absolutely did not want to go.
