The 100th year tradition of the village will soon come, where a chosen maiden will be offered in marriage to the Geomi Jeongsin, also known as the Spider Spirit which is believed to be the Guardian protecting the Village from all threats, disasters and other unknown dangers that may befall its people. In order to repay the Geomi Jeongsin for its unending protection and abundant blessings, it has been the villages custom to sacrifice a maiden to the Spirit every 100 years when  the Spirit wakes up from its long slumber.  Aedda, 17 years old who hasnt experienced her first love, is the chosen sacrificial maiden.
