Our Safe Haven
Namjoon held Jins hand until he was pushed away. ForewordHello lovely readers! This is just a really fluffy Namjin fanfic. Its really chill.PreludeJin clutched his bag as he made his way across West 4th Street. He had just finished classes at his local university and was walking into Washington Square Park. It was his favorite place to rest. In fact, Jin already felt the tension in his wide shoulders disperse as he breathed in the cool air.It was as if he had walked into a different world. No one knew who he was in this park. No one wanted anything from him. There was only him and his thoughts. That was the way he liked it.Jin’s mind blanked as he cut through the grass. He was avoiding the growing crowd gathered around the well-known fountain that the park had to offer. His shoes had no trouble gripping onto the soft grass despite their worn out state. He trudged by the newly refurbished bathroom area, still able to see the vast amount of couples lounging on the grass and benches. The crowd began to die out as soon as he approached the dog play area. His nose had scrunched up when he breathed in the foul smell. It wasn’t that Jin disliked animals, but he considered himself to be more of a cat person. Grabbing his leather book bag straps, he jogged closer to his favorite part of the park.He passed the small cluster of elderly playing chess and smiled to himself. The fact that there were still people who could enjoy such mundane activities gave him a little more hope in humanity. He wiped off some sweat from his face with his arms he approached the short wooden fence line that attempted to block him from his safe haven. He crossed a leg of his over the fence with some difficulty due to his skinny jeans. Then, he tossed the rest of his body over with a small grunt. Jin chuckled to himself when he landed on his back, grateful for his flimsy backpack and the fact that he had crossed over to the grassy side of the fence.Jin stood up and patted his thighs in an attempt to rid his black pants of the very visible dust. Realizing that a few people were looking at him very curiously from the paved side, he walked towards his spot. His ‘spot’ was really behind a tree where he would be protected from the blazing sun and park workers. He technically wasn’t supposed to be in this area of the park, but what could they do? It wasn’t like he was selling drugs; he was just resting in the shade.Jin plopped down onto the grass after tossing his bag a few feet away. He proceeded to pull off both of his shoes along with his socks. Jin let out a small moan once his bare feet met the cool air. He immediately felt a hundred times more refreshed as he laid back, already sleepy. He curled his toes into the grass and closed his eyes.Jin sincerely believed that he was all alone and that nobody knew about his safe haven. After all, the chance of stumbling upon him was pretty slim. The only way to find Jin twice was to look for him. Jin had no idea that there was a person willing to look for him every single day.I hope you understand my flow. This fic is based off of my personal experience. Theres this adorable jazz player at the Washington Square Park in NYC that I slightly stalk every weekend and this fanfiction is based off of that. Im not crazy. I swear. (Okay, maybe just a little...)Chapter 1 will be out soon!
