Those High School Years We Spent in Korea
what do i write here ForewordSetting:Seoul, South KoreaBackstory:We’re both from China, you’re from the South (explains your big eyes and pretty face (girls from South China are basically known to be good-looking it’s just how it is) and Cantonese-speaking), and I’m from the North (explains my straight-forwardness and disgust toward all things cute/aegyo-related). We’ve been best friends since birth, since my parents and your parents have known each other for 20- some years. We first met because we grew up together in the United States, then moved to China for middle school (and that’s where we separated). We’re both juniors (in high school), and during our freshman year, we had received letters from the prestigious Seoul International Academy, offering scholarships for the both of us to attend their school. Since this was pretty much an opportunity of a lifetime, our parents agreed for us to study in Korea (after what seemed like YEARS of persuasion). My super-rich business-lady of an aunt lives there (this is actually in real life too), and she said she would be happy to share her (really freaking big) house with us and be our “legal guardian.” The thing was, since she was into business, she was gone most of the time. We had to be home alone a lot, and that was cool with us since it basically feels like living with a roommate (we just get to experience the college experience a little earlier).During sophomore year, we had to juggle learning Korean and our school studies, but that all paid off. It’s now junior year, and we’re ready to start fresh in a brand new country. The story begins on the morning of our first day at school…Characters:Lily Chang (You)-shy and a little cold at first, but always friendly-warm and loving toward family and friends-an extremely fun person, but knows when to draw the line-afraid of heights/horror movies/etc.-chef of the house-loves food (especially sweets) and everything pretty-queen of aegyo-pretty and catches the attention of many guys at schoolGloria Liu (Me)-hates anything aegyo (unless it’s Lily)-inhales food like no other-loves making friends-can be obnoxiously loud (especially her laugh)-“maid” of the house (I’m not good at much but cleaning is my specialty)-has a cat-protective-sets up “bro relationships” with many guys at school (basically what I do here too LOL)Auntie-Gloria’s aunt-loves Lily more than her own niece most of the time-never home, but never forgets to send money and gifts home-sweet-a little on the crazy side (but who in the Wang/Liu family isn’t)Kim Yoomi-most friendly girl in Seoul International Academy-our first friend-known as the “princess” of the school because of her wealth and popularity-short but very pretty And…okay, that’s it for the foreword.Anticipate~~
