"Can we visit him? I mean, we don't really know your brother, but we'd like to see how he's doing, too." Kibum said, and the rest nodded in agreement. Siwon just told the other guys what had happened, he felt bad keeping it from them. "I don't know guys, he's really shy around strangers." Hangeng pouted, then turned to Heechul. "Chulie aaaaaah! Do something! I want to visit Eunhyuk."Heechul smiled, patting Hangeng's head. Turning to Siwon, he said, "YAH! Donghae gets to visit him doesn't he? Why can't we? Come on, let us visit once. Tomorrow?" Siwon sighed, knowing he had no choice. "Okay, but if he tells me he's feeling uncomfortable, could you guys come back another time instead?" Hangeng clapped in glee. "Of course!"Donghae frowned. He loved his friends, with all his heart. But he knew Eunhyuk was still afraid, still traumatized. If Eunhyuk was normally shy before the inccident, he wondered what his reaction would be when the whole group of them came to visit him. When the final bell rang, signalling the end of school, he rushed to the hospital to see him."Hyuk ah!" Eunhyuk turned at the sound of Donghae's voice, smiling. "You're here early today." Donghae nodded, sighing, throwing his bag aside. "Your brother told me to. He won't be able to come until later tonight, he has some project going on." Donghae saw the slight disappointment on his face, his mouth turning downwards. He didn't like to see him frown, it made him... sad."Cheer up, he'll be here tonight, right? Meanwhile, I'm here to play with you! Do you not like being with me?" Donghae pouted, pretending to be hurt. Eunhyuk was quick to react, shaking his head, pointing to his mouth that was now turned up in a smile. "No! Of course I like being with you! See? I'm smiling!" Donghae chuckled, ruffling Eunhyuk's hair. "You're so cute."Eunhyuk smiled, then said, "So where are you bringing me to play?" Donghae thought for a while. "Well, we can't bring you that far, because of the leg on your cast, so I was thinking we could just take a stroll in the garden?" He nodded his head, loving the idea of it already. "Okay! Let's gooooo!" Donghae helped him out of bed, and into the wheelchair.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Eunhyuk took deep breaths, loving the sweet scent that the flowers brought into the air. Donghae was pushing him through the garden. It was a beautiful little place. Flowers lined the sides of the path and trees provided them with shade from the warm rays of the sun. After they had explored the whole garden, Donghae pushed his wheelchair beside a bench, before sitting down himself."It's so nice. To be out again." Donghae turned to face him, smiling. "I can bring you out more, if you like?" At that, Eunhyuk's smile widened, almost reaching his eyes. "Really? Yaaaaaay!" Donghae laughed, amused at how excited he was just by something so small. They sat there in a comfortable silence, just enjoying the scenery, the weather, the company of each other.Just then, Donghae heard Eunhyuk gasp. "Hyuk, what is it?" Eunhyuk started to shake in fear, looking at something in front of him. Beads of cold sweat ran down his forehead, giving a shine to his already pale white face. Donghae followed the direction of Eunhyuk's gaze, then realised what had happened. A group of bikers had walked into the garden. He must still be scared, poor guy."Hyuk, hey. Look at me, it's okay. They're not going to hurt you." Eunhyuk shook his head, covering his ears, his eyes squeezed shut. "No! No! Don't hurt me! Go away!" He started to shout. Donghae kneeled down in front of him, taking him by the shoulders. "Hyuk! Listen to me, I'm here. It's okay, you're safe. Hey." Eunhyuk opened his eyes slowly, his breathing heavy.His eyes were glazed over, his neck already covered with sweat. "No... No..." He mumbled to himself softly. Donghae turned and saw that the bikers were getting nearer. "They're gonna hurt me! Help! Somebody help me!" Eunhyuk started to panic again, shouting for Donghae to let go of him. "Hyuk! They're not going to hurt you, I promise! Please!"As the bikers passed by, Donghae quickly pulled him into a hug, blocking his line of sight. "Let go! I need to escape!" Eunhyuk trashed around in his arms, hitting Donghae hard, but he wouldn't let go. Donghae rubbed his back soothingly, trying to calm him down. "It's okay, Hyuk. I'm here, there's no need to be scared. Shhhh, it's okay, it's okay..."Eunhyuk's breathing slowed, and he slowly came back to his senses. "I'm s-scared, Donghae. Please don't leave me." Donghae hugged him slightly tighter, patting the back of his head. "I will never, ever, leave you. Okay? I promise." Eunhyuk nodded, burying his face into Donghae's shoulder. They stayed like that for a long time, until Eunhyuk finally pulled away."Want to go back to you room now?" Eunhyuk just sat there blankly. After a while, he finally said, "Can you h-hold my hand?" Donghae sighed, then taking Eunhyuk's hand in his, began to push him back to his room. He had never seen anyone so afraid before. The look on Eunhyuk's face before... it scared him. He never wanted to see Eunhyuk like that again.As they neared his room, he decided. When Eunhyuk gets discharged from the hospital, both Siwon and him would live in his house. He would deal with his parents later, but for now, he couldn't risk it. Eunhyuk's neighbourhood was too dangerous, what if the same thing happened again? As they entered his room, Donghae still holding his hand, they saw Siwon. I have to convince Siwon for them to move in with me. I have to protect them. I have to protect Hyuk.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~It took a while before Eunhyuk was willing to let go of his hand, even though he was already calm. When he fell asleep, Siwon motioned for Donghae to come outside. "What happened? Why was he covered in sweat?" He explained everything to Siwon, noticing how hurt he seemed by what had happened. It came as no surprise to Donghae, he knew how much Siwon loved his brother."It's all my fault! I'm such a horrible brother." Donghae shook his head, patting him on the back. "No, you're not, you are a great brother. Honest." Looking up at Siwon, he decided to ask him about it now. "By the way, hyung, I have something to tell you. I want the both of you to move in with me, after he gets discharged." The shock on Siwon's face was apparent."W-what? Why would we do that?" Donghae breathed in deeply, prepared for a long talk with him. He knew Siwon was attached to that house, it was where he grew up. But he had to convince him, for Eunhyuk. "It's too dangerous there, hyung. Do you want Hyuk to go through this again? I don't think he could take it. It's much safer where I live, besides, you always said it would be fun to live with your friends, right?"Siwon sighed. "I don't know, Hae. It's just all so sudden! And what about your parents?" Donghae just smiled. "I'll find a way. You know I always do, I'm their only son. They always give in to me. So will you two come stay with me? Please?" Siwon seemed to be deep in thought, and Donghae kept silent, giving him time. Even still, he was shocked how easily Siwon seemed to be taking this. He was even more shocked at his reply."Okay, fine. But you must let us help around the house, okay? And, we'll pay you a monthly rent. We'd feel bad if we stayed there for free." Donghae broke out into a grin, happy that he agreed. "Sure! I can't believe you agreed that easily, though." Siwon shrugged, his face expressionless. "Our house is old, anyway. I'm sure it'd be better for us." Donghae frowned. "What's your real reason for agreeing, hyung? I know you love that house to bits. Why?"Siwon's lips formed a straight line, his expression solemn. "I want him to be happy, Hae." Donghae saw the tears that were threatening to flow out of his friend's eyes. Pulling him into a tight embrace, he said, "See? I told you that you're a great brother. I won't let him be upset. We'll live under the same roof, and we'll be happy. The three of us, ne?"
