Since Donghae's birthday, Eunhyuk tried hard. He knew that Donghae was mostly the one taking the initiative, for anything really. Be it asking if he wanted to go out, holding hands, hugging, and especially kissing. Donghae was usually the one that took the first step. Eunhyuk realised how tiring it must be, to have to always be the one progressing their relationship.That's why during his birthday he had challenged himself to be the one to kiss him first. He saw how much Donghae liked it, and it made him happy too. So as the days passed, he did things like this more and more. Donghae definitely noticed the change. "Getting less shy, huh?" They were in the back yard, on the swing.School had ended and they decided to eat their lunch at home, bringing it out back. Eunhyuk had already finished eating, and rested his head on Donghae's lap. His legs hung over the edge of the swing lazily. "Why, is that bad?" Donghae shook his head, feeding Eunhyuk what was left on his plate, mouthing that he was full upon his resistance."It's anything but. Just wondering why the sudden change, is all." Eunhyuk swallowed before answering. "I don't know... I just felt that you might be sick of always having to be the one making the first move. You know?" Donghae placed his now empty plate carelessly on the grass beside him, then smiled down at Eunhyuk. "Awwwwww."Eunhyuk grinned, reaching his hand upwards, pinching Donghae's cheeks. "Stretched face of a nemo!" Donghae swatted his hands away, laughing. "It's sweet, Hyuk. Thank you. But just know that I don't mind taking the initiative, so you don't have to force yourself." Eunhyuk shrugged. "I'm not forcing myself. I want to, now. It's actually quite fun, seeing your reactions."Donghae frowned, then stuck out his tongue. Eunhyuk beamed. He extended his hands upwards again, pulling Donghae's face closer. Kssing him on the tip of his nose, he laid back down, waiting for his reaction. Donghae's face scrunched into a face of happiness, his mouth turned upwards in a smile. "See! I should take a video of your reaction next time."Donghae quickly realised what had happened, crossing his arms. "Pffffftttt." Eunhyuk pushed himself back up by his elbows. "Pffffft yourself. I'm going to wash the plates." He retrieved their two plates from the floor then entered the house. Donghae waited for him to get out of sight, before allowing himself to smile. Such a cutie.He stood to go back into the house too. As he neared the kitchen, he heard voices. "Are you going to tell the other guys soon?" It was his mother's voice. He entered and took a seat beside Eunhyuk. "What are you two talking about?" Eunhyuk turned to face him. "Your mum thinks we should tell the others. About us."Donghae sensed that he was afraid. Placing his hand on top of Eunhyuk's, he sat up straighter. "I... agree. Eomma, how do you think we should break it to them? We have kept it from them for quite a while now, I don't want them to be hurt." Eunhyuk knew it was the right thing to do too, but he couldn't help but be scared. What if they hate me?Mrs Lee took the plates in front of Eunhyuk, turning to wash them. "Just tell them the truth. No white lies, no excuses. I think that's how they would take it best. Besides, I'm sure they'll understand." Donghae nodded, glancing at Eunhyuk. He seemed to be at a loss, a hint of worry on his face. "Okay eomma. Thanks for washing the plates, we'll go up to talk about it." Mrs Lee waved them ahead.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"They won't hate you, Hyuk. Trust me." Eunhyuk sighed. No matter what Donghae said he knew he would still be afraid. It took so long before he could finally open up himself to the group, telling them about this relationship somehow made him feel like locking them all out again. He loved the boys, and he felt so loved and accepted when he was with them.What if this ruined all of that? As it is, Kyuhyun still seemed to hate him. This would make everything worse. Much worse. "I don't know Hae. I mean, everything could go so wrong." Donghae did what he always did when Eunhyuk was scared. He hugged him. "Don't worry, nothing bad will happen. At most, they'll need some time to adjust. That's all."Eunhyuk buried his face into Donghae's shirt, "Can we talk about this later? I need time, to think." Donghae agreed, patting his gently on the back. "Of course." Later, at night, Eunhyuk had decided to talk to his brother about it. "Hyung, what's your take on it?" Siwon changed the channel on the television, finding the current one boring."I agree with Hae and his mum. You have nothing to worry about, they won't ever hate you. If anything, the longer you drag out telling them, the later they find out, and then there might be a chance of them being upset. You should tell them now. You're ready." Brows furrowed, he bit down on his lower lip."You really think so?" Siwon nodded, not needing to think it over. "Go on, tell Hae your decision then." Eunhyuk asked him what he meant, he hadn't said he had decided to tell the other guys. "You will, I know you will. It's time to stop hiding in that shell of yours, Hyuk. Stop being so afraid, okay?" Now, Siwon was looking at him, concern reflected in his gaze.He nodded, leaning forward to give his brother a quick hug. "Okay, hyung." He stood up to leave but lingered at the base of the stairs for a while. Turning around, he shouted, "I love you hyung!" Siwon turned briefly, grinning. Eunhyuk smiled and jogged up the steps. Knocking on Donghae's room door, he entered."Alright. Let's tell them Hae." Donghae simply stared at him from where he was sitting, at the table, his mind processing what he had just said slowly. Finally, though, he stood up. Wordlessly, he walked forward and hugged Eunhyuk so tight that he eventually found it hard to breathe. "H-hae? Air."Donghae shook his head, "I'm not letting you go." Eunhyuk squirmed slightly, until Donghae continued, "I love you." A smile spread accross Eunhyuk's face. He pivoted on his left foot, turning to peck Donghae on the cheek. "Me too. I love you too." Donghae finally let him go, reaching downwards to hold his hand instead."Should we call them over, or do you want to tell them tomorrow at lunch?" Eunhyuk just looked at his hand, entwined with Donghae's. "Lunch. Just a bit more time for me, is all." Donghae squeezed his hand gently, giving him a warm smile. "Okay then. Everything will be fine. Stop worrying. Now come on, I think it's almost dinner time."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The bell rang, and people rushed out of class, streaming into the hallway. Donghae and Eunhyuk waited outside their class for Siwon. When he came, he gave his brother an encouraging smile. "You can do this. Let's go." He gave Eunhyuk's shoulder a squeeze, and the three of them walked towards the canteen.They heard the rest of the guys before they saw them, noisy as always. After they got their food they approached the table, then sat down. Donghae patted Eunhyuk's hand from under the table repeatedly, trying to calm him. "Why are you guys so late today? We were almost gonna call the police to file a missing persons report."Eunhyuk and Donghae managed a forced laugh, and Siwon answered for them. "I just told them to wait for me, so we could go together. Can't we do that, Chul?" Heechul shrugged, "Just wondering." He resumed scarfing down his food. The other boys simply shrugged as well, continuing their conversations.Leaning closer, Donghae whispered to Eunhyuk, "Are you okay? You just need to stay here, I'll tell and explain everything." Eunhyuk nodded, but in his mind, that wasn't what he wanted. He wanted to be the one to tell them, it's just he didn't know how. His throat felt dry and choked, as if something was stuck there, preventing him from speaking.He turned, looking at Siwon, who returned his gaze with yet another encouraging smile. Then he looked at Donghae, who was obviously slightly nervous about this as well. As Donghae was about to speak, Eunhyuk place his hand on his leg, stopping him. Donghae gave him a concerned look. Supressing all his nerves, Eunhyuk spoke up instead."Me and Donghae are together." Slowly, silence engulfed them. The sounds of trays on tables and the chatter of the other students all faded into the background. White noise. As the oldest, Leeteuk felt it a need to clarify. "What do you mean... together?" Eunhyuk gulped. "I mean, we're dating." Donghae spoke then, too."We hope you guys will support us, too. We're sorry we didn't tell you earlier." The seconds that passed felt like hours to the pair, but eventually, their worried frowns were replaced by bright grins. "Aigoooo yah you've grown up!" Leeteuk reached accross the table to ruffle Donghae's head. Slowly, the rest of the guys shared similar reactions. "Oh my god REALLY? YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD US EARLIER!""Of course we'll support you! Awwww group hug!" All of them were saying so many things at one time the two could barely keep up. But they were happy. Henry hugged Eunhyuk so tightly, he felt as though his ribs were going to break. "Hyungggggg! I support you two!" Eunhyuk laughed, rubbing the top of Henry's head. "Thanks Hen."Kyuhyun came up to him, then. "Congratulations, I guess." Donghae whacked him on the head. "What do you mean, 'I guess'?" Kyuhyun winced. "Owww. Okay okay! Be happy, the two of you." Donghae grinned. "That's more like it." He scowled at Donghae, then to Eunhyuk, too. But for a short moment, Eunhyuk could have sworn he saw him smile.When lunch ended, the both of them headed back to class, escaping the eyes of the rest of the guys, who would cheer at their slightest interaction. "See? Told you it'd be fine." Eunhyuk smiled, still dizzy from what had happened. "Yeah, you were right. And I'm glad." Donghae laughed, putting his arm around his shoulder. Together, they both walked into their next class. Huhuhuhu /sobs/ sorry I took so long. Long story cut short (like really short), this is pretty much how long I will take from now on to update. Most likely, anyway. A lot of things have been happening and I just had to put writing chapters on hold. Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter all the same, loveeeeeee :*
