ChapterTwelve “Baby don’t cry, tonight, eodumi geochigo namyeon~ Baby don’t cry tonight, eobseotdon iri dwel geoya –““Do you hear it?”“Yeah, it’s in here!”“Hurry!”“I’m trying!”Chen picked at the lock and it clicked. He opened it with the other four following closely behind him who were all brought to a halt as Chen abruptly stopped in his tracks.“Why’d you stop for?” said Tao who just smashed his nose into the back of Kris’ head.“Take a look at this!” Chen said quietly yet playfully. The other four popped their heads into the classroom and cracked up into silent laughs.“Luhan’s too cute!” said Lay, holding back his laughter.“We should leave them here like this,” whispered Tao. “It’s such a rare sight to see an ice princess and an arrogant prince together.”“We should.” Agreed Kris.“Remember to call him up later then.” Said Lay.“Wouldn’t it be funny if we forget to wake them up later?” said Xiumin jokingly.“Sure would.” Laughed Chen. The five of them had a final look at Luhan and Hyo Ri sleeping soundly next to each other by the teacher’s desk and closed the door quietly behind them. “Someone! Somebody stop him!”…What? Stop who?“No! Sehun!!”Hyo Ri’s eyes snapped open with a jerk as a splitting headache attacked her almost immediately. She rubbed her temple, furrowing her brow. Sehun..? Hyo Ri felt something lean against her shoulder and looked over to see Luhan’s head in her face. Her eyes widened as she realised that the two of them were just sleeping side to side in front of the teacher’s desk. How the hell did they end up in this position anyway? Hyo Ri could’ve sworn that she was asleep on one of the tables…“Shit!” she exclaimed, glancing up at the clock. “It’s already morning!”Luhan groaned and lifted his head, looking around, still half asleep. “Eomma? Is breakfast ready..?”Hyo Ri gave him a quick whack to the head. “Wake up, douchebag, it’s already morning.”He rubbed his eye and sat up straighter, still trying to open his eyes. “Who’re you?“LEE HYO RI!” she yelled, making him back off.“Shut up!” he flung back, completely awake.Hyo Ri got up and stretched her arms and legs. “I can’t believe we stayed here for the whole night!”“Far out, how can a girl snore that much?”“I don’t snore.”“Yeah you do, you sound like one of those steam boats,” said Luhan. “It goes like ‘hooooooooonnnkkk’!”Hyo Ri made a face. “Do you want to get bashed?”“Oh yeah? Come at me!”Hyo Ri lurched at Luhan and tackled him to the ground. “I’M GONNA FRIGGIN’ KILL YOU!”All of a sudden, the door swang open and Teacher Eun Sook stopped in her tracks, staring right at Luhan and Hyo Ri who were in an awkward heap on the floor. The two stared back at the teacher, ceasing all movement.“This… Isn’t what it looks like…” Hyo Ri started. “Whatever you’re thinking, you are misunderstanding us.”Silence filled the next couple of seconds. Then Luhan scoffed. “I didn’t know you were that type of girl, Hyo Ri. You were absolutely wild last night.”Hyo Ri’s jaw dropped. “A-Aye… Don’t say that –““Lee Hyo Ri…” murmured Teacher Eun Sook.Hyo Ri turned back to Eun Sook. “Y-You’ve got it wrong. He’s ly –““LEE HYO RI!!” “Little bitch…” muttered Hyo Ri, making her way up to the rooftop. The damn bastard sure got her this time. Wild last night? Seriously? She let out another groan, kicking the bin as she made her up. One day, she’d get him back for sure. Her vengeance shall definately be delivered…“Oh, Hyo Ri brat,” said Principal Mun Su as she passed Hyo Ri.“Wassup,” Hyo Ri greeted.“Don’t ‘wassup’ me. I’m the Principal of Mun Bin High remember?”“I still reckon that’s a pretty gay name for the school. Woo Su was better.”Mun Su shrugged. “His fault for losing hammer, scissors, paper.”Hyo Ri gave the Principal a look. “Act your age, sometimes woman.”Principal Mun Su returned the look, rolling her eyes. “There’s a new outdoor swimming pool built outside. Drop past for a swim.”“No thanks,” Hyo Ri replied. “I’ll pass.”“Suit yourself.” With that, Mun Su hurried off to another one of her meetings.Hyo Ri pushed the door to the rooftop open, the strong breeze blowing her long hair back. Once she got there, she noticed someone walking on the ledge of the balcony just behind the railing. It was a certain rainbow-colour-haired boy. She had the slightest tempt to scare him but fought back the idea and instead, just decided to say hi and ask about why the hell is she having dreams about him now.“Sehu –“Her headache came running back to her with open arms, striking so hard that it made her stumble over her own steps a bit. "Ow..." Her sight almost failed her too, as a memory flashed before her very eyes.“Somebody stop him!”Seeing Sehun’s back on that balcony was somewhat familiar. Too familiar. It was so familiar that Hyo Ri couldn’t believe what she did next.“D-Don’t jump!”No sooner did Sehun turn around, Hyo Ri grabbed onto him tightly, tugging at his shirt.“Hyo Ri..?”“Don’t…” Another round of pain hit her, draining the strength out of her legs. “Ow..!”“Hyo Ri –“Before they knew it, the two of them fell off of the building and was sent plummeting to the ground. What a familiar sensation…All Hyo Ri felt before plunging into the water was Sehun’s warm hands, holding her tightly against him.Her body slapped against the water, her weight pulling her deeper and deeper until she hit something hard. Regaining her strength, Hyo Ri pushed herself up and the two of them rose up from under the water, gasping for breath.“Shit…” she managed, still trying to get enough air into her lungs. “That was crazy..!”“You are crazy!” exclaimed Sehun next to her. “What the hell?”The students around the swimming pool whispered amongst each other, stopping from their activities to feast their eyes on the incident of two people falling from the sky and creating a tidal wave on their way down.“If it wasn’t for this pool,” Sehun said, raking a hand through his wet hair. “We’d both be dead!”Hyo Ri didn’t know if it was the chlorine from the water or not but she felt the tiniest sting of tears forming in her eyes.Everything was starting to come back to her.Surprised gasps and shocked whispers erupted from around the pool as Hyo Ri wrapped her arms around Sehun’s neck.Sehun’s eyes widened, mostly from shock as well. “Hyo Ri?”She hugged him tighter. “I remember,” she whispered. “I’m so sorry.”Sehun took a while to take it all in. Then he finally hugged her back grinned. “It’s about time.” “Yo! Luhan!”Xiumin walked over next to Luhan and they made their way to the rooftop together.“Didn’t you say you were going swimming?” Xiumin asked as they were walking.Luhan said nothing.“Luhan?”“Oh hey!” Chen caught up to the two of them and got in front, facing them while walking backwards. “You know what’s happening?”“What?” said Xiumin.“Hyo Ri and Sehun got history, bro,” replied Chen. “Actual history. Well anyways, I’m gonna get back to swimming. Bye!” With that, Chen ran off with his usual cheerfulness, humming to himself as he skipped along. The two of them reached the rooftop and Luhan – who was still silent – lay down without saying a word. Xiumin sighed, lying down next to him and slightly smiled.“Is that why you didn’t go swimming?”
