ChapterThirteen “Hyung.”“Yo, Sehu –“ In a heartbeat, Hyo Ri was face to face with Suho. Her fist which was aiming for his gut was blocked with his hand. “Hyo Ri?”She looked up at him as her eyes lit up. “Joon Myun.”Suho’s eyes widened as he stared back at her. “W-What did you say?”“Joon Myun. Kim Joon Myun!” she said, giving Suho a light punch as her lips curved into a small smile – much to the gang’s surprise. Suho looked from Hyo Ri to Sehun. “What’s happeni –““Hyoooo Riiii!” Chanyeol pushed Suho out of the way grabbed onto Hyo Ri, throwing her up into the air. “Hyo Ri’s back!” After a couple punches from Sehun, Chanyeol finally settled down and placed Hyo Ri back onto her feet.“So let me get this straight,” started D.O. “You pushed Sehun from the school rooftop into the pool?”“We fell.” Hyo Ri corrected.“She’s still as crazy as ever,” said Kai smiling.Finding that she couldn’t hold it in any longer, she pulled the six of them close together and hugged them, embracing the sheer feeling of nostalgia which washed over her.“I really missed you guys…” she said with all honesty. Hyo Ri didn’t care about the whispers, murmurs and comments from the passerby students. She didn’t care what type of rumours it would make. She didn’t care who she was seen by.All she knew was that she was happy. Really, really happy.“So how did you happen to remember?” asked Suho after their group hug.“I don’t know,” Hyo Ri replied. She glanced at Sehun. “It just came I guess.”“Who cares how she remembered!” said Kai. “Good thing is our Hyo Ri’s back!”“Don’t say our Hyo Ri,” she said frowning.“Still the same as ever I see.” Commented D.O.The seven of them settled down at the rooftop, busily chatting away and catching up with each other for what seemed like years.“I still can’t believe you left me at the warehouse after those HwangByul bastards ran off,” muttered Hyo Ri glaring at Sehun.“I was too shocked,” Sehun replied. “We were about to come back for you.” “Hey hyung.” Sehun had said whilst running away from the officer.“What is it Sehun?” Suho replied.“I think that girl back there was Hyo Ri.”The gang’s eyes widened. “WHAT?!”“I’m pretty sure it was Hyo Ri. Even through all that blood.”“WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL US EARLIER?”“I never thought she’d get beaten up that badly so there was no way it could’ve been her.”“Sehun… She was tied to a goddamn chair.”“We should go back then!” “…And well, that’s what happened.” Sehun explained.Hyo Ri made a face. “If I waited for you guys, I’d most probably be dead by now.”“Luhannie came to save you, didn’t he?” asked Baekhyun.“Yeah,” replied Hyo Ri. “What’s your relationship with him?” Sehun straight-forwardly asked.“Nothing much,” Hyo Ri replied. “Just simple cleaning partners.” All of a sudden, Hyo Ri’s phone rang. She took it out and glanced at the caller ID then shoved it back in her pocket and stood up. “I gotta go. I’ll see you guys later.”“Alright,” said Suho as they waved, watching her leave the rooftop. He turned to Sehun. “You sure like questioning the both of them so much, huh?”“I –““It’s ‘cuz he can’t help it~” teased Baekhyun elbowing Sehun on the arm. “It’s cuz he’s –““In luurrrvveeee~” Chanyeol and Baekhyun sang in sync, curving their arm over each other’s heads to make a heart which made Sehun tackle them to the ground, threats pouring out of his mouth.“Are you going to tell her?” asked Suho as Kai pulled Sehun away from the duo.“Soon,” Sehun replied, slightly smirking. “Real soon.”  “Okay girl, spill it.” Cho Hee pushed Hyo Ri onto a chair and positioned herself in front of Hyo Ri, one leg over the other with her arms crossed. “Come on. You’ve got a lot of explain.”Hyo Ri arched an eyebrow. “What’s there to explain?”“Maybe just the casual relationship between you and oh, I don’t know, the twelve hot boys in our class!”“Oh that.”“What do you mean ‘oh that’?” Cho Hee gripped onto Hyo Ri’s shoulders and shook her violently. “You’re like the hottest topic in school right now and you say ‘oh that’?!”“Am I? I don’t get what ‘s there to talk about.”Cho Hee sat back down and faked a sob. “I accepted it when you got all friendly with Xi Luhan and his group but now the new six? How could you! There’s twelve to choose from, just pick one!”“They’re my friends!” Hyo Ri said. “I knew them back in middle school.”Cho Hee ignored her friend’s claim and continued to go on about the twelve. “Up ‘till now I thought Luhan was perfect. Then there came Oh Sehun~”“Not him.”Cho Hee tilted her head. “What?”“Not Sehun,” Hyo Ri repeated. “He’s off.”“I thought you had Luhan!” wailed Cho Hee. “He –“ she stopped. “Shit, sorr –““It’s fine.” Hyo Ri said.“Cho Hee! We need you!” called out Eun Mi.“Coming!” Cho Hee turned back to Hyo Ri and gave her an apologetic look before leaving. Hyo Ri sighed, leaning back on the chair in the noisy classroom.Luhan, huh? It’ll be great if he wasn’t that man’s son. It’ll be better if she didn’t know at all. Then a thought struck her. Why did she have to allow herself to be stuck in the dark for so long? Why isn’t she questioning that man as to why the hell he did those absurd things back then? She remembered his face. His shocked face when he realised that she was the daughter of the woman he had killed. But why? Why would he make that type of face upon seeing her? Why did he have to look so… sad?Why did he have to kill her? Then she decided. Well aware of the fact that she was going to walk right up to a murderer and throw questions at him, Hyo Ri had decided that she’d do just that.Right now, she shouldn’t fret over anything else.Right now, she needed answers.Answers that Xi Luhan’s dad was going to give to her.
